THE CONVERSION OF SOULS INTO ANGELS
The Bible records Jesus’ teachings that the souls in human beings are in process of becoming angels, and that it takes place as the result of resurrection – the process illustrated by the Son of GOD incarnated as Jesus Christ of Nazareth, when He reappeared after His sacrifice on the Cross, and His subsequent appearances on earth in a permanent body, no longer subject to materiality and its grip on human souls. In Mt. 22:30, Christ noted that as a result of the “quickening” process of resurrection, human souls no longer marry because “they are as the angels in heaven.” Mark is recorded as having stated that this conversion takes place when a soul “rises from the dead” to become as the angels in heaven (Mk. 12:25). Luke carries the matter a step further, instructing that Jesus had proclaimed that “those souls that are accounted worthy to obtain the world to come, by the resurrection of the dead, cannot die any more, being the children of GOD – children of the Resurrection. (Mk. 20:34-36).
These principles delineate between the soul in a man and his contemporary flesh body, and the angelic being that soul is prepared to become when, by the process of resurrection, it is quickened into a permanent angelic state. It is then able to move away from the earth dimension, having been converted into a form enabling it to reside in higher dimensions than the earth plane. As a human being in the “natural” unspiritual condition of which Apostle Paul wrote in 1 Cor. 2:9-14, a soul is confined in flesh in the earth dimension; but once it is spiritualized by the Christ Spirit it is prepared to reside in heaven as an angelic being. As the illuminated Apostle Paul wrote: “Flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of GOD” (1 Cor. 15:50). A flesh body is confined to materiality until it is “quickened” into a spiritual state, enabling it to reside in one of the heavenly dimensions: one of GOD’s “many mansions” (Jn. 14:2).
The process of a soul’s gradual spiritualization may be envisioned a as a tree that moves through time and space, casting its leaves and going into a form of hibernation until the next season, when it comes forth again in as the same tree, but changed according to any changes it has undergone from its last “time period of growth.” During each such period, the tree had made gains, new branches growing out from its trunk, capable of bearing increasing amounts of either good or evil fruit. As Jesus taught, a tree that bears good fruit is to be well cared-for, whereas a tree that continues to bear evil fruit is to be cut down and burned, being useless, or even harmful (Lk. 13:6-9). Such trees will be given a fair number of opportunities to bear good fruit, but if they fail to do so, they may not be any longer maintained in the orchard.
According to Luke 12:5, those souls that fail to be quickened should fear the one who, after he has killed the flesh body, has the power to cast the soul into hell (Lk. 12:5). Matthew teaches that souls should fear Him who, after the body is killed, has the power to destroy both soul and body (Mt. 10:28).
Each soul is part of a spirit-entity – known as its “higher self” or “overself,” that moves through time and space from the time of its creation, during each incarnate life experience, acquiring spiritual gains or losses according to its works – what it understands and chooses to do during each of its successive flesh manifestation. By this process it gradually builds up a spiritual inheritance which is preserved in its overself – its higher self, or entire spirit – consisting of the whole of all the knowledge, understanding, and spirituality it has acquired from the time of its first incarnation.
Like a tree, a soul moves along through its life cycles, producing either good or evil fruit; and eventually it adds quantity and quality to itself within its hereditary limitations, according to the measure of what it produces. Pictured as a tree-like being, a soul that chooses to serve the Lord as, say, a highly spiritualized selfless prophet, may in such a life experience produce many spiritually-fruitful branchs. As Jesus taught, “Every good tree brings forth good fruit, but a corrupt tree brings forth evil fruit (Mt. 7:17). On the other hand, an incarnate earth experience which is unspiritual, or even negative, may result in no branches at all being added to the permanent part of that “tree:” its overself. As Jesus illustrated by killing a negative tree: a tree that “produces evil fruit” may be taken down (Mt. 3:10; cf. Mt. 21:19).
The overself of a soul is the accumulation of all it has spiritually become from the time it first incarnates in the earth plane. Each life is recorded in some ethereal way in dimensions much higher than the earth, and at the end of each earth experience, when the flesh body expires in which a soul has been incarnated, the soul undergoes a contemporary judgment (Heb. 9:27). At this judgment the status of the soul is determined – whether it is to be subsequently reincarnated in the body of a newborn infant, or precisely what its disposition is to be. Jesus Christ spoke of this crucially important situation, as recorded in Lk. 12:5; and Matthew raised the point that unspiritualized and unsaved souls should fear Him who – after the body is killed – has the power to destroy both soul and body in hell (Mt. 10:28). These all-important final decisions are based on the recorded “works” of each soul at the time it undergoes final Judgment (2 Cor. 5:10).
A human soul is a vagabond in the earth dimension, where it is spiritedly and thoroughly tested to ascertain whether it is ready and prepared to be converted into a heavenly body able to ascend into eternal life in the heavenly Light of GOD the Father of All, Christ HIS Son; and the Archangels and Angels of the Light who forever serve them. And these Archangels and Angels of the Light are in fact spiritualized human souls that have graduated from earth testing and been saved into eternity.
