Message 17 - Book Five - SOMEWHERE BEYOND BELIEF - Continued from Message 16

The biblical story of Hannah and Samuel discloses that they both battled against negative powers that sought to afflict them to prevent them from fulfilling their earth missions. The barren Hannah prayed feverishly to bear a spiritualized son, promising the Lord that she would see that he was raised in spiritual surroundings. After Samuel was born, she placed him with a priest who, it turned out, was not all that spiritual, but Samuel was able to fulfill his life’s mission despite the continual interventions of negative forces (1 Sam. Chh. 1-4). As Apostle Paul afterward cautioned, “we must through much tribulation enter into the Kingdom of God” (Acts 14:22).

These negative forces frequently are able to veil a soul’s true spiritual condition, misleading it to mistakenly indulge carnal earthly ways. And whenever a misguided soul turns away from evil-doing, believes in the Lord and begins to live a spiritual life, satanic forces immediately spring to the attack. But if an afflicted person persists in faith and belief in the Lord, His Holy Spirit quicken that soul, and the Holy Ghost sent to provide a new foundational understanding of spiritual truths – as in the case of Apostle Paul. When that takes place, those who have previously been negatively inclined unbelievers often undergo a profound spiritual rebirth experience, after which they are inclined to live such spiritually escalated lives as to suppress and overcome negative forces. These converts pave a better way for themselves, as well as for those around them, as well as those who come after them: whose lives they influence. For instance, the children of two such parents, even when initially born into a negative situation, may find their lives powerfully influenced and altered for the good by positive changes their parents make, even in later years.

Children Inherit The Spiritual Condition To Which They Have Attained In Past Lives Man is composed of three parts: spiritual, mental and physical, for which reason a combination of these individual characteristics shapes the destiny of each individual. As written, mind is the builder: that which the spirit and body desires is brought into existence by the mind. But according to the Bible, a man should predominantly seek the survival of his soul, because his flesh desires lead him to no more than temporal satisfactions, whereas his soul can lead him into eternal life in GOD’s heavenly Light. It is the spirit in a man, his soul, that is intended to guide, move and direct him through his earth experiences, doing so in ways that will inspire him to overcome the powerful animalistic carnal earthly desires that retard his spiritual development.

The “natural man” (Heb. 5:12-14) tends to consider his physical body the dominant and most important part of his being, his mind a complementing useful tool designed to assist him in whatever ventures his desires lead him to undertake. If his desires are selfish and his actions harmful to others, another peg is inserted into the negative side of his karmic record, and the particular causative defects, if left uncorrected, are handed down to be dealt with in future generations. On the other hand, if during previous incarnations a man has, even by old age, reached the spiritual understanding that doing evil is negative, forbidden and spiritually costly (Heb. 5:12-14), it may be so indelibly imbedded into him as to carry over into successive earth experiences. In any event, personal restraint is not easily brought to bear. As Jesus taught, the spirit is willing to hold the errant body in check, but the flesh is weak and tends to give in to carnal desires (Mt. 26:41).

Infants enter into a world filled with karmic traps, and need all the assistance they can get to keep from becoming snared by negative forces (Ps. 119:110). They bring with them whatever karmic gains or losses they have sustained in their previous earth experiences. Under the beneficent terms of Jesus Christ’s New Covenant, the heavenly fate of children now depends upon their inborn karmic condition. It is contingent upon whether they in some way find and follow the Way into the eternal Light of GOD that Jesus Christ the Son of GOD has made passable. And that in turn depends largely upon family influences brought to bear upon children during their formative years, and even afterward.

If, during one or more previous earth experiences, a child has been been close to the Son of GOD during times when He appeared on earth as Adam, Enoch, Joshua, Joseph, or during any of His other earth manifestations – especially when He was Jesus of Nazareth, and more especially if He has saved that soul. A spiritual providence acts on that child’s behalf. At some point in its earth experience, the Lord may intervene with His powerful quickening Spirit Energy – as He did with Apostle Paul on the Damascus Road – to open and illuminate a soul’s understanding (Lk. 24: 45). The Holy Ghost may illuminate that soul’s knowledge of important spiritual truths , including things to come (Jn. 16:7,12-15). But biblical writings disclose that it doesn’t just happen as the result of a few passing wishful thoughts: it comes about as the result of a serious determined seeking of the Lord (Heb. 11:6).

The heavenly rule that “All things gained or loosed on earth are gained or loosed in heaven” (Mt. 18:18), works harmoniously with the 3 to 4 generation rule. The two together define the proposition that there is an eternal heavenly dimension (Jn. 14:1-4) to which incarnated earthbound souls may hope to aspire. But biblical writings caution that those who do evil, who are disobedient of GOD’s Will, are earmarked for disaster if they fail to change their ways before the destructive Armageddon Angels descend upon the earth in fulfillment of longstanding prophecies (Rev. 16:15-18; 20:6,14; 21:8).

“Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep His commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.” (Eccles. 12:13-14)

“For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have all been made to drink into one Spirit.” (1 Cor. 12:13)

“For ye are all the children of GOD by faith in Jesus Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise”. (Gal. 3:26-29).

Some Ramifications Of The Three To Four Generation Rule

Surveying man’s spiritual condition today, it is difficult to overlook his wilful depletion of his hard-gained spirituality, and his commensurate decline into the same pit of carnal depravity as caused the awesomely destructive Great Flood in Noah’s time. His spirit debasement is profuse, flooding into all aspects of his life. Political, governmental, even some religious organizations, have increasingly tended to adopt spiritually corrupt ways. Increasing numbers of liberal-thinking, carnal-minded people have abandoned their spiritual roots to focus on seeking power, wealth, fame and other material gains; no longer trusting and following the Lord their Maker, and GOD the Father of all things – to do their own will. It is readily understandable why man’s backsliding spiritual disobedience of HIS laws of love, truth and righteousness will be brought to a sudden halt when Armageddon comes upon the earth, to remove intransigent evildoers and unbelievers (Jude 6-8, 14-19). For the good of all who strive for an eternal heavenly city (Ps. 48:8; Heb. 11:10-16); Rev. 21:2,10), there must come a cleansing of all those on the earth who remain negative to that time. It is foretold to be the most terrible time ever seen on the earth or that ever will be (Dan. 12:1-3) and is projected to come swiftly at the time of the return of Christ the Son to take dominion over the earth:

“But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so also shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Then shall two be in the field, the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken and the other left. Watch therefor: for ye know not what hour your Lord does come.” (Mt. 24:37-42)

These are not, as many suspect, idle speculations inscribed in the distant past, aimed at projecting things destined to come to come to pass in our time. They will occur as the result of the incomprehensible power of GOD, who requires respectful obedience from those given life by HIS Holy Spirit Energy. The 3 to 4 generation rule is the balancing beam on which mens’ works are assessed, their every action in some inscrutable way examined and ultimately brought into judgment (2 Cor. 5:10). The rule profoundly affects man’s spiritual development and his progress toward a place in GOD’s heavenly hierarchy.

The burden falls heavily upon each and every man and woman to make careful choices in selecting a mate with whom to bring children into the world. A marriage to an unspiritual mate decreases the chances that the members of a family being formed will likely make significant gains toward reaching a heavenly estate. For a member of any family to live carelessly and immorally is to invite disaster for their children, for the effects will be felt for 3 to 4 generations. Anyone who selects a mate and marries for shallow carnal reasons, overlooking spiritual considerations, can expect the souls of their children to be drawn from a pool of relatively unspiritual souls waiting in other dimensions for a favorable earth opportunity. Incarnating souls are fitted compatibly into a lineage existent at the same comparative spiritual level, in the same way they inherit parental physical and mental characteristics. For example, the spiritual level of Isaac was proportionate to that of his spiritually-quickened parents, Abraham and Sarah; whereas the spiritual inheritance of Ishmael depended upon that of his father, Abraham, as influenced by that of his mother, Hagar, Sarah’s Egyptian handmaid, who was not Abraham’s binary soul mate. Her influence on following generations could not rise to the level of Jacob and Rachel and Leah. And it is noteworthy that the children of Rachel were more spiritually quickened than those of Leah.

Biblical examples of the 3 to 4 generation rule confirm that spirituality is an inheritable characteristic. In light of that premise, it is not surprise that Hannah, the illuminated Prophet Samuel’s mother, was extremely spiritually quickened before her son was conceived and born. Although barren for years, when she prayed for a son, she promised to”give him to the Lord all the says of his life” (Sam. 1:11). Hannah was a keenly sensitive prophetess, aware of many abstract, little-known spiritual truths. For example, it was written that she knew:

“The Lord killeth, and maketh alive: he bringeth down to the grave, and bringeth up. The Lord maketh poor, and maketh rich: he bringeth low and lifteth up. He raiseth up the poor out of the dust and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory; for the pillars of the earth are the Lord’s, and He hath set the world upon them. He will keep the feet of His saints, and the wicked shall be silent in darkness: for by strength shall no man prevail. The adversaries of the Lord shall be broken to pieces; of heaven shall he thunder upon them: the Lord shall judge the ends of the earth; and he shall give strength unto His king, and exalt the horn of His anointed”. (1 Sam. 2:6-10).

We can be certain that Samuel and his mother, Hannah, were binary soul mates, born into a mother/son relationship, even as was Beloved Mary and Jesus long afterward. In Samuel’s case, he inherited his high spirituality from his mother, in accordance with the positive side of the 3 to 4 generation rule. Likewise, Jesus Christ was born as the product of a series of highly spiritualized unions. However, it needs to be kept ever in mind that satanic spiritual influences play a devastating role in the development of highly spiritualized men and women, incessantly attempting to tempt them, to draw them into unspiritual ways. Sex is a powerful force, tempting many to disrespect their spirituality to satisfy physical desires in useless, even harmful, ways. As written, when all else fails, the devil sends a woman! (Cf. Prov. 5:3-10, 18-21; 7:1-18; 21:9,19; 22:14; etc.)

Spiritual Escalation Of The Divine Lineage

According to biblical writings, Isaac married his binary soul mate, Rebekah, who was guided to him by a remarkable series of events (Rev. Ch. 24), and they produced the second in a series of 3 to 4 spiritually escalating generations destined to lead to the birth long afterward of Jesus of Nazareth, the “Shiloh” of Gen. 49:10. A continuing karmic split became evident in the lineage of their two sons, Jacob and Esau, a diversity the Bible relates in considerable detail. The Lord thought so much of Jacob that He renamed him “Israel”, denoting his leadership of the Divine Lineage in its critically important third generation. The story of these two brothers is too lengthy to be included in this short article, but the Lord thought so well of Jacob, and considered Esau so negative by comparison, that He long afterward spoke to the people of Israel through His Prophet Malachi, saying:

“I have loved you, saith the Lord, Yet ye say, Wherein hast thou loved us? Was not Esau Jacob’s brother? saith the Lord: Yet I loved Jacob, and I hated Esau, and laid his mountains to waste for the dragons of the wilderness.” (Mal. 1:1-3)

The Lord also noted that although Esau’s people, whose land was Edom, promised to return to rebuild their desolate homeland, even as they would rebuild, He would tear it down so their works would not stand (Mal. 1:4). On the other hand, biblical writings eulogize Jacob. A portion of the crucial role he played in the development of the Divine Lineage is related in Genesis Chapters 48 and 49, which reveal his uncanny spiritual knowledge and understanding. He affords an outstanding example of the workings of the positive side of the 3 to 4 generation rule, having received the benefits of exceptional spiritual gains built up before him by binary soul mates Abraham and Sarah, and Isaac and Rebekah. The incremental escalation of spirituality through those three consecutive generations afforded the foundation for an even greater magnification to come in the key fourth generation, under the rule.

Biblical writings indicate that Jacob followed the Lord’s Will in selecting Judah as his fourth generational son to carry the Divine Lineage forward into future generations, ultimately leading to the birth of the Son of GOD as Jesus of Nazareth, who was Shiloh. It was written that the Lord:

“…refused the tabernacle of Joseph and chose not the tribe of Ephraim. But chose the tribe of Judah, the mount Zion which He loved. And He built His sanctuary like high palaces…” (Ps. 78:67-69)

But afterward, when it was time for Judah to be replaced, the Lord chose Joseph because he held the birthright above all the sons of Jacob, including Ephraim and Manassah (1 Chron. 5:1-2). That Joseph ranked spiritually far above his brothers when they were incarnated as the sons of Jacob, is evident in Genesis Chapters 48– 49. Added to which, the blessings he received from the Lord, bestowed upon him through and by his spiritually illuminated father, Jacob, presaged his future spiritual greatness::

“Joseph is a fruitful bough, even a fruitful bough by a well; whose branches run over the wall: the archers have sorely grieved him, and shot at him, and hated him: but his bow abode in strength and the arms of his hands were made strong by the mighty God of Jacob (from thence is the shepherd, the stone of Israel:). Even by the God of thy father, who shall help thee, and by the Almighty, who shall bless thee with blessing from heaven above, blessings of the deep that lieth under, blessings of the breasts, and of the womb…” (Gen. 49:22-25)

The above verses express a “letter” meaning of the blessing given to Joseph, but considered in their spiritual sense (Cf. 2 Cor. 3:3-6), they spell out that Joseph was an earth experience of the Branch of the Divine Lineage (Isa. 11:1; Jer. 23:5; Zech. 3:8; 6:12). That he received his Holy Spirit Energy from the wellspring of GOD’s Holy Spirit, which was close by him. Many would hate him, but nevertheless his own “branches,” his followers, would “run over the wall” that separates earth from eternal heavenly dimensions. It was forecast that his hands were made strong by Jacob’s GOD, the Father of all whose Holy Spirit is above, in and though all (Eph. 4:6), and that from HIM, GOD, would come man’s shepherd, the stone of Israel, Jesus Christ (i.e. the Rock of Israel (Deut. 32:4;15; 2 Sam. 22:2; 32,47; 23:3; Ps. 78:35; 89:26; 92:15; Mt. 16:18; Lk. 6:48; 1 Cor. 10:4). The blessing to Joseph even revealed that GOD Himself would bless him from heaven above, with “deep blessings of the womb,” thereby suggesting his remarkable virgin birth by Beloved Mary long before it took place.

In fact, Joseph son of Jacob was an extraordinary earth experience of the Son of GOD, who during His skein of earth experiences from Adam to Jesus Christ was engaged in fulfilling His biblically foretold mission of “destroying the works of the Devil” (1 Jn. 3:8). Judah prevailed above his brethren, as the Bible confirms (1 Chron. 5:2) but it was the heavenly higher self of Joseph who was predestined to prevail over the higher self of Judah, both of them sons of Jacob on earth. Jacob somehow understood that the order of succession of birthright sons in his family’s lineage required him to select Judah ahead of Joseph at the time his choice was made. But the full effect of the 3 to 4 generation rule on the Divine Lineage would not fully impact until Judah was long afterward replaced by Joseph, who inherited the key fourth generation position.

When the Spirit of the Son of GOD, which had been the soul in Joseph, later manifested as Jesus of Nazareth, the Divine Lineage was finally complete. The power of the rule, as it functions through the pattern of reincarnation, ties successive events together even though they may be widely separated in time. The Son of GOD, who had first entered into the earth plane as Adam (Lk. 3:38), had, after a number of earth incarnations striving to destroy the words of Satan, was at last positioned to remove the devil from his position as “covering angel” over the earth (Ezek. 28:14-16). However, the negative one, banished from his heavenly position, was allowed to remain in the earth dimension for a while as a testing agent (Rev. 12:12). But from that time, all powers in heaven and the earth were granted to Christ the Son of GOD (Mt. 28:18), who oversaw all events and occurrences. He took on the heavenly role of the “firstborn son” as it reflected in earth families.

That the Old Covenant was to be replaced by a New Covenant when Jesus Christ appeared as Shiloh, and the reason for it, was explained by the writer to the Hebrews:”For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. For finding fault with them, He [GOD] said, Behold, the days come when I will make a New Covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: not according to the covenant I made with their fathers when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the Land of Egypt; because they continued not in my Covenant and I regarded them not, saith the Lord. For this is the Covenant I shall make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord: I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a GOD, and they shall be My people.” (Heb. 8:7-10).

The Lord Jesus Christ the Son GOD fulfilled the above biblically recorded promise, that He would write His laws into the hearts and minds of those who would be His Disciples, doing so after He was positioned at GOD’s right hand. GOD sends the Holy Ghost, the Spirit of Truth and other Comforter (Jn. 14:15-17, 26; 15:26; 16:7,12-15) in Christ’s name, to those who believe in Him as their Lord and Savior, and follow the Way He has made passable into eternal heavenly dimensions. Since then, diviners, priests and spiritual teachers have been able to assist those who remain in the lower levels of man’s spiritual development, by teaching the terms of the New Covenant He brought in. For those who believe in and follow the Lord the Son, He has made available a direct and more effective heavenly source. The Spirit Energy of the Lord Himself (Jn. 14:18), and that of the Holy Ghost (Jn. 14:15-17,26; 15:26) is imbedded in all of Jesus’ faithful Disciples, who have only to personally reach out to the Holy Trinity in faith and belief, in prayers and meditations, to receive the highest level of assistance proportionate to their own contemporary level of spiritual development:”But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name will teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.” (Jn. 14:26)

And they shall not teach every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, “Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.” (Heb. 8:11)

It is evident that souls in the Divine Lineage leading from “the first Adam,” to Jesus of Nazareth “the last Adam” (Lk. 3:38; 1 Cor. 15:45), received an enormous spiritual escalation, a huge quickening of GOD’s Holy Spirit Energy, when Abraham and Sarah manifested on earth. That couple was an example of what have become known as binary souls; paired souls who have served GOD from the beginning of their earth incarnations, and by their service to HIM have been granted increases of HIS Spirit Energy. GOD tested Abraham and Sarah rigorously to insure they would obediently do HIS Will, and only after they had reached advanced age, called them as the foundational couple to commence a remarkable 3 to 4 generational escalation of spirituality, initiating it through their sons two sons, Ishmael and Isaac.

As might be expected, however, Satan intervened to cause a rift in that key generation. Firstborn Ishmael became the progenitor of a lineage that produced the forbears of Muhammad and the powerful Muslim religion. That Ishmael and the children of this lineage would, under the 3 to 4 generation rule, be confronted through the ages by obstructive negative forces they would struggle to overcome, was inherent in a profoundly predictive biblical writing disclosing that the Angel of the Lord had revealed to Sarah:

“I will multiply thy seed exceedingly, that it shall not be numbered for multitude…behold, thou art with child, and shalt bear a son, and shalt call his name Ishmael .. And he will be a wild man; his hand will be against every man, and every man’s hand against him ..” (Gen. 16:10-12)

Ishmael’s soul had apparently been drawn from a congregation of souls subject to considerable karmic hardship on the earth under the 3 to 4 generation rule. It appears to have been at least partly the result of an act that indicated a lack of faith by Ishamel’s parentage His father Abraham had been shown in a dream that he was to father a precious son whose spiritual greatness would be exalted in Israel. However, as Sarah aged beyond her childbearing years she gave up hope of birthing such a remarkable son. At length she gave up in despair and sent her husband in with her Egyptian handmaid, Hagar, who conceived and birthed Ishmael. Abraham’s having gone along with Sarah’s despondent act, indicative of a lack of faith, apparently exacted a serious karmic toll, impressing at least a temporal discordant effect on Hagar’s son, Ishmael.

It is presumable from biblical writings that Hagar, Ishmael’s mother, had not at that time achieved the exceptional level of Spirit-quickening by the Lord’s Spirit Energy, as had Sarah. She was the highly spiritualized Abraham’s binary soul mate. Under the 3 to 4 generation rule, Ishmael thus stood to receive a substantial portion of the spirit-force of his mother, Hagar; combined with the momentarily somewhat subdued Spirit Energy of his parents, Abraham and Sarah, whose impatience had caused them to forfeit the fullness of their faith. The combined effect of this became evident when Abraham asked God if his son Ishmael “might live before Him” (Gen. 17:18) [i.e. could be his prominent son who would hold the birthright in his lineage]. He asked, despite the negative blessing Ishamel had received, above noted. (Gen. 16:10-12). The Bible discloses that GOD replied:

“Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his name Isaac: and I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his seed after him. And as for Ishmael, I have heard thee: Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation. But my covenant will I establish with Isaac, which Sarah shall bear unto thee at this set time next year.” (Gen. 17:18-21)

This turn of events did not carry the implication that all the descendants in Ishmael’s lineage were condemned to be negative; only that Ishmael’s tendency toward being a “wild man,” having been impressed into the lineage, would require cautious watchfulness in future generations.

Positive And Negative Aspects Of The 3 to 4 Generation Rule

The rule is an individual aspect of spiritual law, and like a coin, it has two diametrically opposed sides. The negative aspect is biblically illustrated in Chapter Seven of the Book of Joshua, where it is related that when the GOD-empowered Israelites attacked the mountain city of A-i during the Exodus, they were surprisingly turned back and defeated. Joshua immediately sensed that the Lord had for some reason become upset with him and the chosen people. Until then Israel had been able to overcome whatever enemy force they came up against, as the Lord had promised them. Joshua summoned his leaders and set about ascertaining who had committed such a gross act of disobedience against the Lord as to cause HIM to withdraw HIS assistance.

His investigation disclosed that during the previous battle for Jericho, Achan – the son of Carmi, the grandson of Zabdi, the great-grandson of Zerah – had surreptitiously stolen garments, silver and gold from among the spoils, and hidden the loot under his tent. At that time the Lord, speaking through Moses, controlled the disposition of Israel’s valuables, so Achan’s selfish act constituted a sin against GOD, for which reason HE refused to assist the chosen people in their assault on A-i. This incident illustrated the converse side of the 3 to 4 generation rule. The negative karma generated by Achan’s great-grandfather Zerah had flowed through to the next generation to infect his son Zabdi, and it was sustained by Carmi, who in his turn also failed to overcome the decreased karmic status he had inherited from his father, thereby allowing it to extend unabated through to his son Achan in the critically important fourth generation. Under the rule, the fourth successive negative generation may mark the terminal point of a lineage.

The Lord had held against each of the four above-named individuals their persistent negativity. Each in his turn had failed to overcome the negative desires, thoughts and tendencies he had inherited, and under the rule it was time for the lineage to be discontinued. It was in that way emphasized that everything a man desires and thinks tends to be converted into actions, inevitably to become entrenched in his karma (2 Cor. 5:10), and, if not overcome, flows into his descendants. Under the rule, that which is good adds favorably to each soul’s karmic disposition, whereass that which is evil detracts from it. As written, that which a man seeks and gains for himself is of no account to him; whereas the good that he strives to accomplish on behalf of others adds a stepping stone toward his salvation, and that of his family. One particular biblical law leaves no doubt that because the four above-named individuals had remained negative in their respective generations, negativity had been stamped into the lineage to the extent it had become impossible for future generations to eradicate it. Long after these events had transpired, the Lord spoke through His Prophet Ezekiel to explain:

“The soul that sins, it shall die. When a righteous man turns away from his righteousness, and commits iniquity, and dies in them; for his iniquity that he has done shall he die. Again, when the righteous man turns away from his wickedness that he has committed, and does that which is lawful and right, he shall save his soul alive.” (Ezek. 18:20,26-27)

In light of the above rule, it is apparent that had any of the three above-named fathers during their lifetimes reversed the negative karma handed down to them from Zerah, they would have cut off its devastation in their generation, thereby preventing it from being carried on down to burden those born after them in their lineage. As it turned out, all four generations were cut off by the Lord, and at the terminal point Achan and his children (but not his wife, whose karma was apparently unaffected) paid dearly for the four successive generational transgressions against GOD. They were taken into the valley of Achor along with their possessions, and there stoned to death, a pile of rocks heaped over them to remind all Israel that GOD will not tolerate disobedience from HIS children. In that way, the negative side of the 3 to 4 generation rule was awesomely illustrated,

But there is another much more positive opposite side to the rule. It applies to the those who expend their earth experiences accomplishing works that exemplify their desire to serve GOD obediently while incarnated on planet earth, and by implication their aspirations to serve HIM forever in heaven after they depart from this testing plane. A pre-eminent biblical example is found in the remarkable four successive spiritually escalating generations of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and Judah, who afforded a great spiritual leap forward for all mankind. Judah, however, was only temporarily awarded the exalted key position in the Divine Lineage in its all-important fourth generation. In a way illustrating that a pattern of reincarnation is at work on the earth, the Bible reveals that the Lord intended that Judah was eventually, many generations later, to be replaced by Joseph son of Jacob:

“Now the sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel, (for he was the firstborn; but forasmuch as he defiled his father’s bed, his birthright was given unto the sons of Joseph, the son of Israel; and the genealogy is not to be reckoned after the birthright, For Judah prevailed above his brethren, and of him came the chief ruler (Jesus Christ the Son of GOD); but the birthright was Joseph’s).” (1 Chron. 5:1-2)

It is understood that Joseph son of Jacob was in fact an earth experience of the Son of GOD, whose Holy Spirit subsequently manifested as Jesus Christ of Nazareth. When Joseph later manifested as the Christ, He prevailed over all His brothers, replacing Judah in the Divine Lineage. However incredulous this may seem, it is biblically foreshadowed in an illuminating verse in Genesis subtly foretelling that, although Judah’s lineage would prevail through many generations, it would eventually be replaced:

“The scepter shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come: and unto him shall the gathering be.” (Gen 49:10)

Jesus Christ of Nazareth was the Shiloh referred-to in the above-quoted predictive Genesis verse; the Son of GOD written of in Ps. 2:6-12. When He brought in His New Covenant, people did rally around Him, and have since continued to multiply into a gathering force through the past two millennia. Certain biblical verses recorded before the Lord the Son of GOD manifested as Jesus, foreshadowed that one Tribe from among the Twelve Tribes of Israel, Judah’s Tribe, was to carry the Divine Lineage through to the appearance of Jesus Christ, Shiloh.

Message 12 - Book Five -SOMEWHERE BEYOND BELIEF - Continuing From Message 11:

The fact that GOD the Father Himself, and the Lord HIS Son after HIM who spoke HIS Word, went to inordinate lengths to repeatedly impress upon the chosen people that faith and belief in HIM is all-important to the souls of HIS children incarnated on earth, carries within itself the reason for its crucial importance. The Bible embraces the proposition that GOD is a Spirit (Jn. 4:24), and HIS Son an extension of the Holy Spirit of GOD the Father, who formed Him from HIS Spirit. That the Son possesses GOD’s Spirit without any measure (Jn. 3:34), and Made all things that were afterward made, including mankind (Acts 17:24-28; 1 Cor. 8:6; Col. 1:13-19). It is therefore axiomatic that all angels and angelic souls are composed of GOD’s Holy Spirit, which Energy is in all, above all and through all (Eph. 4:6). But many souls incarnated in flesh on earth deplete it by disobedience of rules HE instituted to insure they would be able to maintain their quickened spiritual estates and not become trapped in the mire of materiality.

The 3 to 4 generation rule was established to make it clear that man is composed of GOD’s Holy Spirit Energy, and that allegiance to HIM is all-important. Man’s obedience is required, his earth appearances in some ethereal way measured and evaluated (Job 31:6; Prov. 16:2). He is obligated to work in harmony with his fellow man, doing all the good he can while steering clear of evil-doing that breeds corruptive negativity resulting in dissonance and destruction. Under the 3 to 4 generation rule, the seed of negative men who choose to remain evil are scattered and eventually destroyed. The Bible spells out that nothing lasting can be constructed on a foundation of sand (Mt. 7:21-27) – that, for example, man’s divisiveness is, by analogy, like shifting sand that gives way beneath his spiritual house (Mk. 3:23-27). The rule plays a crucial role in man’s spiritual development. It applies to all mankind, particularly familial relationships; it being understood that souls tend to bond together in family structures, generally incarnating along with, or near, those they have shared previous earth experiences. Some are “Binary Soul Mates.”.

Binary souls are pairs that have striven to be together, even from the beginning of their incarnations. Because of intrusive negative forces, they do not always manage to meet during some of their earth lives, but when they do find one another, they are capable of accomplishing exceptional spiritual works. The most prominent biblical example is Adam and Eve, who later reappeared as Jesus of Nazareth, and His mother and Beloved Mary. A powerful guiding force works within binary souls, magnetically drawing them to find one another life after life in order to continue working together to fulfil their principle earth mission, serving as disciples of the Lord. Despite being obstructed by negative forces, they strive to work “in harness” with one another, to afford mankind a pattern of things to come when immaculate conceptions will become the rule among couples sufficiently spiritualized to bring them into existence. Man has been struggling to achieve that sublime goal for many centuries, and certain biblical writings illustrate that the spiritual power of binary soul mates working together has been a major factor in man’s spiritual development. When they are able to meet during an earth experience, they are met by obstructive forces they must confront and overcome.

Satan knows that one of man’s foremost weaknesses is his misuse of his carnal sexual desires. The Bible discloses that the negative one continually works on that weakness to his advantage; so much so that an old adage makes the point that when all else fails, the devil sends a woman. This principle is illustrated in the Old Testament account of Joseph son of Jacob’s experience with the wife of Potiphar, a servant of the Pharaoh (Gen. Chh. 38-41). After Joseph’s brothers sold him into slavery, he ended up in Egypt under the command of Potiphar, who treated him well, conferring on him the position of overseer of his house. But Potiphar’s wife, consumed by her sexual desire for Joseph, made several overt passes at him without success. On one occasion she grabbed at his garment, but he chastened her and sought to flee, leaving his garment behind. She reported the incident falsely, blaming Joseph, which led to his incarceration in prison. Out of the frying pan into the fire, it might be said: but Joseph persevered through a dramatic series of events until at length his psychic abilities led to his being elevated from satanic “fire” into the position of overseer of all Egypt. When Pharaoh dreamed a dream and Joseph was the only one able to interpret it, Pharaoh recognized Joseph’s unique spiritual wisdom and insight:

“And Pharaoh took off his ring from his hand, and put it upon Joseph’s hand, and arrayed him in vestures of fine linen, and put a gold chain about his neck. And he made him to ride in the second chariot which he had; and they cried before him, Bow the knee: and he made him ruler over all the land of Egypt. And Pharaoh said unto to Joseph, I am Pharaoh, and without thee shall no man lift up his hand or foot in all the land of Egypt.”(Gen. 41:42-44)

It noteworthy that it was only after Joseph had overcome all the negative temptations placed in his pathway, steering clear of evil in every respect, that he was guided to meet his binary soul mate It is a lesson for all who believe they may have been guided to their one binary soul mate, to consider well. Not only is it important that Joseph was required to keep in check his flesh desires before he was guided to find his true wife, it is significant that Joseph’s wife Asenath was of the spiritual nature, the daughter of Potipherah a priest of On (Gen. 41:45). It was necessary for both Joseph and Asenath to be morally sound and strong enough to overcome negative forces aligned against them. Their combined spirituality enabled them to produce two highly spiritualized sons, Manasseh and Ephraim, whom Jacob adopted as his own two “firstborn sons.” He ranked them above his own twelve natural born sons (Gen. 48:5,8-20), and set second born Ephraim ahead of his brother Manasseh. These selections carried repercussions that only came to pass long afterward when, it is understood, the spirits of Ephraim and Manasseh reincarnated as Apostles John and James.

These above-described events involving Joseph and Asenath took place under the 3 to 4 generation rule, which reflects the biblical axiom,“All things gained or loosed on earth are gained or loosed in heaven” (Mt. 18:18). The maxim is both positive and negative in its effect upon mankind. It was originally made a part of the Old Testament, but was carried over into Jesus Christ’s New Covenant, as confirmed by His comment:

“Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.” (Mt. 5:17-18)

Message Nine - Book Five - SOMEWHERE BEYOND BELIEF”So soon as man contemplates his free will, he thinks of it as a means of doing quite the opposite of what is GOD’s Will; though he finds with experience that only by doing GOD’s Will does he find happiness.

“Yet the notion of serving GOD sits ill with him, for he sees it as a sacrifice of his own will. It is only disillusion and suffering, in time and space and patience, that he comes to the wisdom that his real will is The Will of GOD, and that in its practice lies happiness and heaven.” [Edgar Cayce Reading 2537]

The spiritual philosopher Suzuki once illustrated the wisdom of an esteemed Zen master by recounting a lecture the master had presented to an assembly of teachers and students. He had been asked to teach them the most important spiritual principle had learned, and he stood before them and solemnly stated a single enigmatic sentence:

“I was not here today, and I taught you nothing!”

He then departed forthwith without another word, leaving his audience to ponder and grasp for the hidden meaning of what he had so subtly imparted to them. The students meditated upon the matter, reaching the conclusion that the master had revealed to them the immutable Law of Opposites: when he told them that he was not there that day, they of course knew that he was, because he was standing right before them in the flesh while hearing him speak. After some thought, they realized that he had spoken exactly the opposite of what it appeared he wanted them to understand. Philosophically speaking, then, it followed that when he sagely advised them that he has taught them nothing, he intended for them to understand that he had in fact taught them the opposite – that he had “taught them everything” on that subject.

Hidden in that inscrutable riddle is found the universal rule that all things have some opposing character or condition of one or more kinds: that everything in the universe is composed of different energy forms: even GOD is a Spirit Energy, “above all, through us all, and in us all” (Ephesians 4:6). Man’s flesh body is composed of flesh formed into a homogenous grouping of separate organs designed to provide a variety of functions aimed at organizing the flesh body into a “vessel” able to contain a portion of Spirit Energy – the invisible part of a human being that transcends the body’s flesh incarnations to afford it eternal prospects. The flesh body dies after each incarnation on the earth – as the Hebrews writer subtly mentions as recorded in Hebrews 9:27 – during which the soul undergoes a contemporary judgment in which is determined its future course: whether it will continue to incarnate in the earth plane to seek further spiritualization, or what exactly its course is to be.

As Jesus taught, when a soul has attained to a sufficient state of spiritualization it can be resurrected and becomes “as the angels of GOD in heaven” (Mt. 22:30); from which it may be projected that souls are angels in the making, needing to attain to a state of perfection acceptable to GOD before they are allowed to remain in higher dimensions than the earth: Jesus declared that there are “many mansions” (Jn. 14:2). During a soul’s incarnate earth experiences in flesh it may become attached to the denser plane and be satisfied to dwell here in this place of lower, slower vibrations, even though higher dimensions are vastly more sublime and eternal as well. It is the lower dimensions that a soul does well to avoid like a plague!

Canaan was an earth symbolization of man’s true home. As noted in the Book of Hebrews, “Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things unseen, and through it we come to understand the worlds were framed by the Word of GOD – which is to say, the Son of GOD (1 Cor. 8:6) – and the things of the world are not made of things we are able to see with our natural eyes.(Heb. 11:1-3). After Paul’s spiritual rebirth and illumination on the Damascus Road, he defined a difference between “natural men” who are unable to receive the things of GOD because such things are spiritually discerned (1 Cor. 2:9-15) and those spiritualized by the Christ Spirit, who are able to receive the Holy Ghost, the Spirit of Truth and “other Comforter” sent by GOD in the name of Jesus Christ. Paul understood these things because until his spiritual rebirth on the Damascus Road he had himself been a “natural man,” persecuting the followers of Jesus Christ (Acts Chapters 9, 22, and 26). After his rebirth, Paul became an faithful Christian and intrepid Disciple of Christ’s and a foremost teacher of His New Covenant Gospel.
