Message Forty-Three - Book One - SOMEWHERE BEYOND BELIEF

Jacob’s Son Dan, Reincarnated as Judas Iscariot

The following quoted blessing of Jacob, son of Isaac, given to his son Dan, foretold events which were destined to take place long afterward when the Son of GOD manifested on earth as Jesus Christ of Nazareth:

“Dan shall judge his people as one of the tribes of Israel. Dan shall be a serpent by the way, an adder in the path that bites the horse’s heels, so that his rider shall fall backward. I have waited for thy salvation, Lord.” (Gen. 49:16-18).

This marked a continuation of events that had their beginning early-on in Adam’s time. Gen. 3:15 records that GOD had declared that Satan the serpent; the disobedient Archangel HE had appointed as “covering angel over the earth (Ezek. 28:14-15); was to suffer for having done his evil deed. He had lied to Eve and deceived both her and Adam so they disobeyed GOD’s commandment to them (Gen. 3:3,11), and had thereby fallen from HIS Grace. GOD had declared that as a result HE would “put enmity” between them and that a day would come when a “seed” of Eve’s – one of her descendants – would bruise the head of a seed, a descendant of the devil Satan’s; whereas a descendant of Satan’s would bruise the heel of a descendant of Eve’s.

The descendant of Eve’s. whose “heel” – not His head – was predestined to be “bruised,” was Jesus Christ of Nazareth, who, as of that time, was not due to be born for yet many centuries. He would suffer the “bruise” on a Cross overlooking Jerusalem when He fulfilled His blood sacrifice on behalf of all mankind. He would indeed be bruised, but He would not forever die from it: He would subsequently manifest to His Apostles and Disciple in an eternal form, and then be taken up to GOD’s right hand in heaven and empowered over heaven and the earth (Mt. 28:18).

As for Satan, from that time he “waited for his salvation,” as noted supra (Gen. 49:18). The Bible implies that Satan was able to penetrate and influence, if not outrightly control Dan, a son of Jacob and Bilhah, she not being associated with Jacob’s lineage. Dan was born under the 3-4 Generation Rule that applied during the pre-Christ Hebraic Age (Ex. 20:5; 34:7; Num. 14:18). It posed a serious stumbling block in the Divine Lineage being prepared by GOD. The negative activities of Reuben and Bilhah brought about a lowering of the quickened spiritual vibrations in the lineage, and their son, Dan, suffered from it. He was negatively inclined from an early age. It is biblically recorded that when his highly spiritualized brother, Joseph, was seventeen, and was feeding the flocks with certain of his brothers – including the sons of Bilhah– he brought back a negative report of their behavior. And much later, during the Exodus, Moses said of Dan:

“Dan is a lion’s whelp: he shall leap from Bashan.” (Deut. 33:22).

Bashan was a fruitful place in Og (Deut. 43:13-14; Num. 21:33), so for Dan to leap from there can be construed that he would in some future earth experience depart from his spiritual roots: that he would indeed be “a serpent by the Way” that the Son of GOD was in process of making passable into heaven for those who would follow Him there. The higher self spirit of Dan would one day hide along that path to “bite the horse’s heels so that the rider would fall backward, as Jacob had foreseen. This rider on the white horse was the Son of GOD incarnated as Jesus of Nazareth, as biblically reported in John’s Revelation (Rev. 19:11-16), whose “head was bruised” (supra).

As Jesus, the Son of GOD disclosed to His followers that they would be happy to do that which He had taught them, but that one among them would not do so:

“I speak not of you all: I know whom I have chosen; but that the scripture may be fulfilled, He that eats bread with me has lifted up his heel against me.” When Jesus had thus said, He was troubled in spirit, and testified and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you that one of you shall betray me. He it is to whom I shall give a sop, when I have dipped it. And when He had dipped the sop, he gave it to Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon. And after the sop Satan entered into him. Then said Jesus unto him, That thou doest, do quickly.” (Jn. 13:18-21, 26-27).

As Jesus had noted, these events had fulfilled a specific Scriptural prophecy, which had been inscribed in a Psalm of David’s, attributed to Asaph, Chief Musician at that time: a flesh manifestation of the Son of GOD, as David was doubtless aware:

“Yea, my own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, has lifted up his heel against me. But thou, O Lord, be merciful to me, and raise me up, that I may requite them.”

Psalm 41:9-10)

Scriptural writings had indeed been fulfilled when these events took place. It was, indeed, a seed with the negative spirit of Satan’s, Judas Iscariot – who had previously incarnated as Dan – who had bruised the heel of Eve’s descendant, or seed, Jesus Christ: He being the Son of Mary, who had before incarnated as Eve.

They had been together as binary souls from the time He incarnated as Adam, and She materialized in flesh as Eve. They had completed their series of earth incarnations together, even as they had begun them together.

Message Forty-Two - Book One - SOMEWHERE BEYOND BELIEF

When Joseph son of Jacob was in his teens he began to manifest signs of a phenomenal spiritual nature: he was far from the “natural man” defined by Apostle Paul in 1 Cor. 2:14 who is unable to comprehend the deeper spiritual mysteries which are spiritually received. Joseph, an earth experience of the Son of GOD, was much more spiritualized than his brothers, and while in his teens he disclosed to them a remarkable dream he had experienced which foretold things predestined to come to pass long afterward:

“…we were binding sheaves in the field and lo, my sheaf arose and stood upright; and behold, your sheaves stood round about, and made obeisance to my sheaf.” (Gen. 37:7)

For whatever reasons, Joseph’s brothers already hated him, and this dream made it all the worse (Gen. 47:4-6). The dream presaged events to come when Joseph would indeed be “raised upright” above his brothers as ruler over all Egypt The sheaves represented the corn by which he would save their lives when they subsequently journeyed to Egypt to buy grain during a great famine, which had been foreshadowed by a dream of the Pharaoh’s which had baffled all of his priests and soothsayers. At that time, Joseph had been brought from the dungeon where he had languished, having been falsely accused by Potipher’s wife of an indecent assault attempt. Joseph knew that the Pharaoh’s dream foretold a great famine, which carried disastrous ramifications, as the Pharaoh well understood.

Joseph then dreamed another dream similar to his first one, except that in this one celestial beings were involved:

“Behold, I have dreamed another dream more; and behold the sun and the moon and the eleven stars made obeisance to me.” (Gen. 37:9).

Jacob construed this to mean that he, Rachel, and Joseph’s brothers would at some future time bow down before him (Gen. 37:10). The brothers envied Joseph, but Jacob considered the dream valid and accurate and accepted it (Gen. 37:11). Joseph’s second dream portrayed him and his brothers as stars in the heavens; which did not refer to that particular incarnation. It pointed to a future time when Joseph would reincarnate as Jesus, and his brothers would manifest among His Apostles and Disciples. In hindsight, it is understood that Jesus’ Apostles John and James had before incarnated as Ephraim and Manasseh, , highly spiritualized sons of Joseph and Asenath.

After Jesus Christ’s Ascension, Apostle John received in his Revelation the disclosure that the “seed” long before predicted to come out of a “daughter of Eve” had been born as Jesus. The Revelation followed the same pattern as had Joseph’s second dream: the sun and moon were in place, but the crown on the woman’s head was portrayed as having twelve stars in it, rather than the eleven foretold in Joseph’s second dream:

“And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars.” (Rev. 12:1)

There were at that later time twelve stars in the crown because Jesus Christ had selected Twelve of His jewels, as His Apostles: as He had promised from heaven to do when He had spoken as GOD’s Word through Prophet Malachi at the close of the Hebraic Age (Mal. 3:16-18).

One of the twelve would have been removed – Judas Iscariot, who had before incarnated as Dan – which left eleven stars. But Dan was replaced by Saul of Tarsus, later named Apostle Paul, which filled out Jesus’ chosen “Twelve.” In Chapter Twelve of John’s Revelation, he wrote of what had transpired with the birth of Jesus, doing so in ways that reflected back hundreds of years to Michah’s revelational prophesy that the one who would rule Israel would be born in Bethlehem, in Judah, and would be one whose “goings forth”, or reincarnations, had been from old, from everlasting: and that he would give up Israel until the time came when she would travail and bring forth, after which the remnant of his brethren would return unto the children of Israel (Micah 5:2-3). This pointed to a time yet to come, which Prophet Daniel foretold: the return of the Lord the Son of GOD (Dan. 7:9-27), when it is time (Jn. 14:1-4).

It also referred to the time when Beloved Mary brought Jesus of Nazareth into the world as the result of her miraculous Immaculate Conception:

“And she being with child, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered. And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto GOD, and to HIS throne.” (Rev. 12:2,5)

This fulfilled David’s declaration that there were to be two Lords in heaven, one of which – a second Lord, who was his, David’s, Lord – was to wait at the Higher Lord, GOD the Father’s right side, until HE had made His enemies His foot stool; after which He was to strike from GOD’s right hand against the heathen (Ps. 110:1,4-6). This Son, written of in Psalm Two, was to be set as king upon GOD the Father’s Holy Hill of Zion – GOD’s Holy Mount – and was to be given the heathen as His inheritance; and He would one day break them with a rod of iron (Ps. 2:6-9). That is the day of which Prophet Zephaniah wrote: the day of the Lord’s wrath, when the believing humble and meek may be spared (Zeph. 2:3). This foretold the time of Indignation, which is yet to come upon the earth.

This Son of GOD – the “second Lord who is David’s Lord – is the same heavenly Being, the Son of GOD, who had first incarnated as Adam to “destroy the works of the Devil” (1 Jn. 3:8); then reincarnated as Enoch to turn back His disobedience as Adam, and later manifested again on earth as Joseph son of Jacob, and after other preparatory incarnations, as Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

Message Forty-One - Book One - SOMEWHERE BEYOND BELIEF

When the Lord spoke through Malachi a few hundred years before the Son of GOD was born, He reveale that the sons of Jacob had not been “consumed,” even though they had not obeyed HIS ordinances (Mal. 3:6-7): their souls were still “alive” in Malachi’s time. GOD asked them to return to HIM, apprised them of the rewards for doing so, and then foretold that many spiritualized souls were to “return” – to reincarnate – when the Son of GOD manifested as Jesus, to retrieve His “sheep” as had been promised through the prophets (Isa. 11:10; Ezek. Ch. 34). The Lord told these that they would return to discern between the righteous and the wicked and between those served the Lord or did not (Mal. 3:16-18).

The Lord pointedly referred to those souls who had been Jews in previous times, who were to be reborn when the Son brought to an end the supremacy of the lineage of Judah, as Jacob had long before foretold (Gen. 49:10), and the people were to gather around Him. Their spirit vibrations had been quickened as the result of their experiences through the centuries, during which they had followed their Rock (Deut. 32:4,13,18; 1 Sam. 22:2,32,37; 23:3; Ps. 92:15; 95:1; Lk. 6:48): which was the Spirit of the Son of GOD. They had abided in the Commandments laid down by GOD; who was the heavenly lawgiver that had spoken through Moses, GOD’s earthly lawgiver.

Because these had, during previous earth experiences, obeyed GOD, they had attuned their souls to HIS much higher vibrational rate and were able to understand what Jesus taught them. Those who had continued to express carnal ways, and had not drawn close enough to GOD by the time the Son manifested as Jesus Christ, were “blinded,” unable to comprehend the New Covenant He was bringing into the earth plane (Mt. 13:10-17; Jn. 8:42-47)

David had long before foreseen that this would take place as the result of their iniquity. After giving a clue to what was to befall the Son of GOD during His subsequent incarnation as Jesus [as biblically foretold, "They gave me also gall for my meat; and in my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink" (Jn. 19:29-30)], David had foretold of the Jews:

“Let their table become a snare before them: and that which should have been for their welfare, let it become a trap. Let their eyes be darkened, that they see not, and make their loins continually to shake.” (Ps. 69:21-23; cf. Rom. 11:7-10).

This prophecy came to pass when the Son of GOD incarnated on earth as Jesus Christ:

“And the disciples came and said unto Him, Why speakest thou to them in parables? He answered and said to them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given. For whosoever hath, to him shall be more given, and he shall have more abundance; but whosoever has not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath. Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand. And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive. For this peoples’ heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.” (Mt. 13:10-15).

These had disobeyed GOD’s Commandments, doing their own will instead of HIS, so the vibrations of their spirit energy were not to be quickened, rendering them unable to understand spiritual truths. Until they would repent their carnal ways and obey GOD and HIS Son (Acts 5:29-32; Heb. 5:9), their souls were to remain in their primitive un-quickened state, as “natural men” (1 Cor. 2:9-14). Jesus told His Disciples:

“Blessed are your eyes, for they see; and your ears, for they hear. For verily I say unto you, that many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which you see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which you hear, and have not heard them.” (Mt. 13:16-17).

These were those who had reincarnated when the Lord, speaking through Prophet Malachi, had foretold that they would return to discern between the righteous and the wicked and between those who served GOD and those who did not (Mal. 3:16-18). They had returned in accordance with that startling prophecy, and those who had before incarnated in Jewish lineages were again on earth along with the Son of GOD, who had manifested in a Jewish lineage as Jesus Christ of Nazareth. As had been biblically foretold, He was “Shiloh,” who was to terminate the supremacy of the lineage of Judah; and the people were to gather around Him (Gen. 49:10).

At one point in His Ministry, Jesus told His followers that they would bear witness because they had been with Him from the beginning. (Jn. 15:27). He could not have been referring to that current earth experience, because He had called out His Apostles soon after He had undergone His wilderness experience (Lk. 4:1-13). He had been baptized by John, been tempted by Satan for forty days, after which He had emerged to teach His New Covenant Gospel (Lk. 4:13-15) after which He began to preach (Lk. 4:15-21). Then He traveled to Capernaum, where he remained for a while, then moved on to a place in the desert (Lk. 4:42-43), after which He preached in other places in Galilee (Lk. 4:44). It was not until these things had taken place that Jesus began to locate His Apostles, who had not been with Him until that time. So, when Jesus told them He had been with them “from the beginning,” He must have alluded to some other time – some previous beginning.

It is understood that He had referred, among other times, to the days when He had been Joshua son of Nun, and had commanded that one member of each of the Twelve Tribes of Israel to carry one stone across Jordan to the far shore of the promised land of earth, Canaan. This became a huge spiritual sign when the Son of GOD as Joshua, had Himself selected twelve other stones and placed them on the place where the feet of the Levitical priests had stood, bearing the Ark of the Covenant, as the crossing of Jordan took place.

This symbolized what was to happen long afterward when He, as Jesus of Nazareth, would select twelve “stones” from among His followers, as His Apostles. These had incarnated before as the fathers of the Twelve Tribes of Israel, of which He Himself was the stone, Joseph son of Jacob. Apostle Paul subsequently wrote to the Ephesians:

“For through Him, Christ, we both [Jews and Gentiles] have access by one Spirit unto the Father.

We are built upon the foundation of the Apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone. (Ephes. 2:18,21).

When Balaam strikingly foretold, “There shall come a star out of Jacob, and a Scepter shall rise out of Israel” (Num. 24:17), he referred-to Joseph son of Jacob; which “Scepter” is understood to have been an earth incarnation of the Son of GOD. This was long afterward confirmed when the Son spoke, Word of GOD, spoke through Prophet Jeremiah in part of an obscure single revelational verse to reveal:

“…for I am a father to Israel, and Ephraim is my firstborn.” (Jer. 31:9)

Had this been GOD the Father speaking, HE would not likely have described Himself as “a father to Israel,” but rather as the Father of Israel. What had actually been revealed in the above-quoted verse of Jeremiah’s, is that the Son of GOD was the higher self of the soul that had incarnated in the flesh body of Joseph, whose second-born son, Ephraim, held a higher spiritual ranking than firstborn Manasseh. Jacob had foretold this arrangement at the time he had adopted Joseph’s two sons and placed Ephraim ahead of Manasseh, doing so against Joseph’s will (Gen. 48:5-20). Jacob’s decision in the matter had come to pass. This was a striking biblical example of a case of reincarnation.

Going beyond Balaam’s prophecy: Joseph was the star that was predestined to come out of Jacob, and the prophet had also foretold:

“Out of Jacob shall come he that shall have dominion, and shall destroy him that remains in the city.” (Num. 24:19).

It was not until centuries later, in Prophet Jeremiah’s time, that this prophecy came to pass, and once again it involved the Son of GOD speaking from heaven to warn the residents of Jerusalem that GOD had given them a choice:

“Thus saith the Lord, He that remains in this city shall die by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence: but he that goes forth to the Chaldeans shall live; for he shall surely have his life for a prey, and shall live. Thus saith the Lord, this city shall surely be given into the hand of the king of Babylon’s army, which shall take it.” (Jer. 28:2-3).

This was one of GOD’s most stringent tests of HIS children. They had endured a forty-year Exile in Canaan for having lack of faith in their GOD to take them safely into Canaan, as HE had promised to do. All of those who had been doubters and refused to cross Jordan to enter their promised land of earth – which was symbolic of their eternal heavenly place – died in the wilderness. Only two had survived that first exile; Joshua the son of Nun and Caleb son of Jephunneh. And now the people were confronted once again with the prospect of choosing to volunteer to go into another dreadful banishment into the country of an enemy selected by GOD to hold them in captivity under conditions despised by them.

Simply stated, GOD was testing the obedience of HIS people! They knew that if they remained in Jerusalem they were to die for sure: that the only way to survive was to endure the harsh forbidding conditions of slavery again. They would be compelled to hold themselves together as a congregation, keeping intact their religion, Levitical Priesthood, and their spiritual devotion, while suffering in isolation in a land that was not theirs. The biblical books of Ezra and Nehemiah disclose what took place at the end of the seventy-year exile, when the chosen people emerged under the leadership of high priest Joshua son of Josedech and Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel (Ezra 3:2).

Mankind learned many previously unknown details of the afore-described events when Edgar Cayce was able to enter into his deep trance state – doing so somewhat after the order of prophet Balaam, who by falling into a trance, “knew the knowledge of the most High.” (Num. 4:13-14,16-17). To quote just a few of Mr. Cayce’s revelational disclosures as space will allow:

“We are not to strive to develop spiritualism, but rather to pursue spiritual development: spirituality in our own lives. Meditation opens the channels or centers [chakras], permitting deeper meditation, and it is then that the spiritual and psychic awakening may be brought forth. For that reason we are to meditate often.” (Cayce Readings 3460-1; 1089-3)

“Mind is the builder! Whatever direction our thought is directed is where it will lead us. If our thoughts remain carnal, the ultimate result will be carnal. If we self-will it according to the greater command to all men in all ages and places, then we will seek the great Spirit of Truth, which is in the forefront, and build upon a proper foundation because it is found in Him, Christ.

“Keep then the way that leads to spiritual understanding, for the Spirit gives understanding, and freedom as well. The Way is before each soul (cf. Jn. 14:1-4). Keep the faith of the fathers and know that by looking within you may find the answer to all problems. Do unto others as you would have others do unto you; and love thy God, eschewing evil, for this is the whole duty of man.

“The abilities gained from spiritual-psychic forces involve the mental and the soul, but not necessarily the body until one is able to manifest those forces in the three-dimensional plane of earth. Many may not take there at all, but remain in the fourth dimension. The best definition of the fourth dimension yet given is that it is an ideal. From whence it arises we do not know, but it may project anywhere, and is endless and all-inclusive. It has length, breadth, height and depth; and is without beginning or ending, Its effectiveness depends upon the thought-food which is its substance.” Cayce Readings 364-10; 3653-2; 5749-3; and others on that subject.

Message Thirty-Nine - Book One - SOMEWHERE BEYOND BELIEF

The writer to the Hebrews elaborated spiritual truths of vast importance to our understanding of the Holy Bible’s teachings, among which is found:

“For Christ is not entered into the Holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of GOD for us: not yet that He should offer Himself often, as the high priest enters into the holy place every year with blood of others; for then must He often have suffered since the foundation of the world; but now once in the end of the world has He appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself. For as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment; so Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for Him shall He appear the second time without sin unto salvation.” (Heb. 9:24-28)

The above-quoted line – “For it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment” – is often quoted by those who mistakenly believe that it disavows the existence of a pattern of reincarnation at work in mankind’s earth appearances. The answer is that it does not at all deny reincarnation: as it clearly asserts: it refers to death of the flesh body at the end of each earth life.

Apostle Paul’ s comment at 2 Cor. 3:3-6 asserts, among other things, that “our sufficiency is of GOD; Who has made us able ministers of the New Testament; not of the letter: for the letter kills, but the spirit gives life.” The above quoted line, “it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment,” is absolutely true in the letter sense: but it has nothing to do with the reincarnation of a soul from a deceased flesh body into the subsequently-born flesh body of an infant at a later time. It is the flesh body that dies at the end of each life on earth, not the soul,

Generally speaking, the term “reincarnation” refers to the passage of a soul from one body to another – from a human body that has for one reason or another expired and is no longer able to support life, into a newly-born flesh body able to receive it and support it. This ethereal process extends the soul’s ability to continue to experience earth life in the flesh, doing so in a pattern that it has, to that time, spiritually prepared for itself during its previous flesh manifestations. A soul’s flesh incarnations afford GOD a means of spiritually testing man. It is not accomplished in a single incarnation, as many incorrectly believe.

Many “near death experiences” [NDE’s] provide evidence, for those who will receive it, that flesh bodies can die while the soul lies suspended in some other dimension – known to some as the “inter-between” – during which the body has no signs of life whatever – it lies inert on the earth. When the Hebrews writer declared that the body dies but once, he clearly did not say, nor mean to imply, that the soul also dies after each earth experience. It simply continues on its way, ordinarily destined to return to the earth dimension in another flesh body, that of an infant, according to GOD’s Will. Without reincarnation, a soul would be consigned to only a single earth flesh manifestation during which to overcome earth’s temptations and the influences of the negative one, Satan (Rom. 12:21;1 Jn. 2:14)). Time and determined effort is required to overcome earth’s temptations during a soul’s skein of incarnate experiences, while keeping the Commandments; but the rewards are enormous for those willing and able to do so (Rev. 3:5, 12, 21; Rev. 21:7).

It was written that Christ the Son of GOD had appeared once in the end of the world to put away sin by sacrificing Himself (Heb. 9:26), but this did not mean to imply that He had not manifested before. It was not the very end of the world, but not far off as time goes; and it was a single appearance, for which reason it was written that He had been offered on the Cross only once; because had He made His sacrifice more than once it would have been necessary for Him to have suffered more than once. He fulfilled His Mission one time, on the Cross, as Jesus.

This does not deny that He had appeared before as Adam, Enoch, Melchizedec, Joseph son of Jacob, Joshua son of Nun, or as high priest Joshua son of Josedech, during which experiences He gradually perfected Himself in preparation for His excruciating one-time sacrifice on behalf of all souls that had become trapped in the earth plane. His earth manifestations were preliminary appearances, during which He fulfilled segments of His extraordinary spiritual mission to rescue souls that had gotten lost and become trapped in the earth dimension. During each of His earth incarnations, starting as Adam, He had removed some of whatever negative spirit that had attached to Him, increasingly receiving GOD’s Holy Spirit. By the time He manifested as Jesus, as the result of Beloved Mary’s Immaculate Conception, He was ready and prepared to undergo His extraordinary blood sacrifice on the Cross.

The Edgar Cayce Readings assert that Jesus Christ “was that one who had manifested to father Abraham as the prince, the priest of Salem, Melchizedec, without father and without mother, without days or years, but a living human being in flesh made manifest in the earth from the desire of Father-GOD to prepare an escape for man.” (Cayce Readings 1158-5 and 5023-2).

Gary D. Rose and Glenn Sanderfur noted * that the linkage between Melchizedec and Jesus was very strong in the early Church, in which the Canon of the Mass “further carried forward the preeminence of Melchizedec receiving tithes. The Church prays that GOD the Father will accept its offering as HE accepted ‘the sacrifice that Your high priest Melchizedec offered.’ Melchizedec’s name is placed where Jesus’s name technically should be, for in the Christian theology it is Jesus who made the sacrifice of His life.” (Lives of the Master, Melchizedec, Page 48)

Message Thirty-Eight - Book One - SOMEWHERE BEYOND BELIEF

An Edgar Cayce reading advised one who sought a cure for an affliction:

“If you do not intend to change your way of living and thinking, you may as well not even begin this regimen: that is where your problem originated, and until that aspect is revised, there will be no permanent cure possible.”

This is actually a fragment of a universal spiritual principle involving the negative ways, ideals, intentions, thoughts and activities of mankind in general. For as long he continues in spiritual darkness, following carnal selfish earthly ways, he brings upon himself devastations, the cause of which he remains generally unaware. Man’s carnal destructive ways being upon the earth devastating and cataclysmic: as are in this current period being experienced world-wide.

The individual who was the focus of the above-quoted portion of an Edgar Cayce Reading was clearly warned that it was his negative unspiritual ways that were causing his afflictions, and that unless he REPENTED those ways and changed them he should not expect to be relieved of them.

Now, let us extend that principle to the disastrous calamitous events being seen on the earth today, starting with deadly wars, storms, earthquakes, etc., in which almost unimaginable killing has become commonplace. As if that weren’t enough, he leaders of a few nations are threatening and plotting to entirely wipe off from the face of the earth the population of certain other nations – people they personally do not even know but for whom they feel unabated hatred.

Wars, torture, murders, disobedience, etc., are abominations which GOD will not allow to stand. However difficult it is for the “natural man” – described by Apostle Paul in 1 Cor. 2:14-19 – to associate GOD’ wrath with HIS Indignation (Isa. 26:20; Isa. 34:2; Jer. 10:10); and events seen manifesting all over the earth, these exist. There has always been tragedy, poverty, strife and terrible conditions of all kinds that have caused mankind to suffer incalculably during his flesh incarnations on earth. And there have always been explainable reasons for such “natural” events and occurrences, which have been repeatedly ignored: by mankind – especially by those who do not understand the workings of the Spirit of GOD , and of Satan, on the earth.

GOD’s Holy Spirit is the Energy of which all things are composed. As the Bible tells us, HE is above us all, through us all and in us all (Eph. 4:6): GOD is a Spirit, and HE must be worshiped in spirit and in truth (Jn. 4:24)

Many reading this message will give it short shrift and shrug if off, thinking it too far fetched and incredulous to give it serious consideration. Indeed, it will be thought, how could some seemingly nebulous invisible Spirit existent somewhere in invisible dimensions, bring about physical calamities across such a wide portion of the earth?!”

Disbelievers will do well to reconsider any such spiritually-shallow doubting ideas.!Those who perceive the hand of GOD working with those people on earth who seek peace and justice, while

working against those who reject or ignore HIS Commandments and HIS ways, or the Sabbath or the Eucharist, are blinded by their unbelief and negative carnal ways. Being natural men, they cannot understand the vast scope of what can result from perpetrating evil, because they regard such things as foolishness (1 Cor. 2:12), so it remains beyond their ability to understand.

But regardless of what men believe, GOD IS GOOD, and HE insists that HIS Spirit Children also be Good: and HE has the ability and power to oversee and Judge all that goes on in HIS Creation.

This short writing, and those like it, will not find much credence among men today, their spirituality having disintegrated into the delusion that materiality is what earth life is all about. Well, to be blunt: IT ISN’T! The more wealth a man possesses, the less probable it is that he will be spiritually oriented. As Jesus long ago declared:

“It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle , than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of GOD.” (Mt. 19:24

The temptations of materiality are all part of earth testing, and, as strange as it may seem to many today, those who seek wealth do so at their own risk. Jesus was our example: He owned only the simple robe on His back and walked His way humbly and meekly across hot dusty roads to conduct His earth ministry. One has only to compare the wealth of earth churches today – the garish robes and trappings of today’s “men of the cloth” – to see how far off the spiritual pathway man has wandered, to his own discredit. It is not difficult for spiritual people to understand and sympathize with the below-quoted comment by the writer to the Hebrews:

“Now of the things which we have spoken, this is the sum: we have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens. A minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man.” (Heb. 8:1-2)

The thrust of the two above-quoted verses is that all mankind has one heavenly-ordained high priest, seated at GOD the Father’s right hand, having been empowered over heaven and the earth (Mt. 28:18). As the Hebrews writer also asserted: “For if that first Covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second” (Heb. 8:7).

The New Covenant brought in by Jesus Christ of Nazareth, the Son of GOD incarnate, is perfect, and need not be replaced by mankind on the earth. He is our heavenly high priest, and for those who accept Him and the New Covenant He brought in, no other earthly priest is needed. They can go to Him in prayers and meditations any time, anywhere, knowing that He hears them and responds in His time and way. They carry their Church with them wherever they go: Christ is the “cornerstone which the builders rejected” (Mk. 12:10; Isa. 28:16) – the chief spiritual cornerstone (1 Pet. 2:6).

THE CHURCH of those who believe in Christ and follow Him, is actually His Spirit-body, into which those souls that are His are to be received when He returns for them (Jn. 14:3-4).

In this interim period, those who disobey and even flaunt Him and the Fourteen Commandments (Deut: 30-8; Mt. 22:37-40) are bringing upon this nation and the world horrendous disasters that will continue for as long as man’s heedless disobedience continues. These so-called “natural disasters” are neither accidental nor unintentional, and they are far from finished!

Message Thirty-Seven - Book One - SOMEWHERE BEYOND BELIEF

Negative spirit-entities continually attempt to make their presence felt in human beings, doing so in a wide variety of ways. We learn from the Bible that those who elect to go off on their own, not being careful to follow the Lord’s commandments, are like the restless sea: never at peace with themselves, continually seeking carnal flesh satisfaction but never finding true peace because it doesn’t exist where they look for it.

Once our desires, thoughts and activities begin to ebb and flow with the negative spirit tide we become in sync with other negative spirit entities, having drawn into ourselves their low vibrational energy. It is like catching a cold, but infinitely worse; affecting one’s energy field and mind and body as well. In extreme cases, the Cayce readings report (Reading 281-24), certain types of insanity can result in “possession” by negative spirit entities which “make for the disengaging of the natural flow of the mental body through the physical in its relationship to the soul influence.”

In such a case, the reading asserts, one may be dis-possessed of his mind – rightly referred-to as being “out of his mind.” The reading adds that where there are certain characteristics of disease found in various portions of the body, there is a lack of the necessary “vital” for the resuscitating of the energies that carry on through the brain structural forces of the body. This produces a degeneration known as dementia praecox, caused by “the smoothing of the indentation necessary for the rotary influences, or vital force of the spirit, to find expression, and derangements result.”

The reading goes on to focus upon what may occur in such traumatic situations:

“Such, then, become possessed as of hearing voices, because of their closeness to the borderline. Many of these are termed “deranged” when they may in fact have more of a closeness to the Universal than one who may be standing nearby and commenting – yet they are awry when it comes to being normally balanced, or healthy, for their activity in a material world.” (Cayce Reading 281-24)

The Bible discloses much about these matters; for one, that it is disobedience against GOD’s Will that causes a wide variety of calamities according to the nature of our negative activities – the kinds of errors of commission or omission to which we fall victim during our earth experiences. Our spirit-energy fields suffer, and like falling dominos, the body and mind also suffer, with the soul ultimately paying the price of it all. The Bible leaves no doubt but that, barring the Lord the Son of GOD’s forgiveness, grace and mercy, incarnated souls are consigned to reap as they have sown during their earth experiences.

Prolonged negative states of mind and activities giving life to negative thoughts, inevitably bring on illnesses of all kinds, which can lead to an early grave. Relief from such negative conditions is directly proportionate to the individual’s spiritual state, which depends upon what is done during incarnate earth experiences. An Edgar Cayce reading in effect advised one who sought a cure for an affliction:

“If you do not intend to change your way of living and thinking, you may as well not even begin this regimen: that is where your problem originated, and until that aspect is revised, there will be no permanent cure possible.”

An alignment of other Cayce readings advised:

“An earthly incarnation is required as a part of each and every stage of earth development, for without passing through each and every stage of development there is not the correct vibration to become one with the Creator. Then, in many stages of development, through the Universal – the great system of the Universal Forces – each stage of development is made manifest through the flesh, which is the testing portion of the Universal Vibration.

“Jesus is the soul that first went through the cycle of earthly lives to attain perfection; including perfection in the planetary lives also. His was a voluntary mission of One who was already perfected and had returned to GOD, having accomplished His Oneness in other planes and systems, according to the necessary manifestation in the earth of the Holy influence necessary for the sustaining of a backsliding world. And He came through His own choice. (Readings 1900-16; 5749-3, 6,7,14)

It should be noted that Edgar Cayce was a GOD-fearing and Christ-believing man, who devoted a huge part of his earth time in a state of energy-depleting deep trance, seeking truths helpful to his fellow man. This distinguished his illuminating divulgences – perceived while he was in a deeply entrance mode – from those of Balaam the prophet,who “Saw the Almighty and knew deep mystical truths while he was in his deep-trance mode (Numbers Chapters 22 to Chapter 24. Balaam was subsequently warned against leading people astray (Rev. 2:14), which Edgar Cayce did not do. And, when, after some twenty years of giving physical readings designed to elicit information about bodily ills, he was abruptly guided to start receiving information of a spiritual nature, he was both discouraged and amazed. He had never believed in reincarnation at all, and at first refused to heed what his readings disclosed. But a time came when the startling information he received turned out to provide accurate details he was able to verify to his own satisfaction, so that he gradually began to consider reincarnation as valid.

His readings disclosed that in his trance state he was able to reach up the “eighth and ninth heavenly dimension, and sometimes to the tenth level” to retrieve information available at those high dimensions.

It should also be noted that as he aged it increasingly took more out of him to continue giving readings, which warned him that if he didn’t slow down and give less of them daily it would bring about his death. At that time he was receiving thousands of letters pleading for his assistance, and despite the threat of an early grave, he relentlessly continued his work until his death. His readings have brought about many unique cures, as the A.R.E. files in Virginia Beach, VA disclose.

Message Thirty-Six - Book One - SOMEWHERE BEYOND BELIEF

Ruth Montgomery was privileged to be acquainted with an almost legendary healer while he was actively engaged in his exceptional healing work. She wrote of him in her book, BORN TO HEAL, * using his assumed name “Dr. A” because, as a condition to disclosing information, he chose to remain anonymous. He was able to cure a wide variety of ailments in patients who were perhaps guided to find him. Ms. Montgomery noted that Mr. A had experienced contact with beings in higher dimensions from the time when he was very young. His sources advised him that the “magnetic energy field” in man is under the power of Powers, GOD. He understood that his curative powers relied upon his ability to direct certain energies that flowed through him into patients suffering from a broad range of physical, mental and, apparently, spiritual problems. Speaking of the magnetic field existent in man, he said he had been advised “from above”:

“There are compatible, neutral, and negative types of energy. Compatible, or matching energies together generate a revitalizing energy or “magnetic” fuel. These compatible energies are, as a rule, of the same particular groups in four distinctly defineable astrological categories: earth with earth [Taurus, "Virgo, and Capricorn], fire with fire [Aries, Leo, Sagittarius], fire with air [Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius] and water with water [Cancer Scorpio and Pisces]. This is the case provided the individuals are of a different birth month, but nevertheless with a matching frequency; although many variations occur because of the different planetary positions for each individual at birth.

“Negative human energies are earth with earth, fire with fire, etc. When individuals are of the same birth month, and do not have other complementary energies, they ordinarily do not refuel one another, but blend together and act as one single element – or are as duplicating pages in the same book. When this is the case with couples and there is any depletion in the magnetic field, the proper amount of fuel [apparently spirit energy] is not taken in, and slow starvation of the nervous system ensues, and continues for a long as they choose to remain together. In additions, there are many other facets of refueling [spirit] energy patterns in human beings.

“Our nervous systems, through our magnetic field, is influenced by every person with whom we come in contact; which constantly has its effect on the magnetic field of each of us. If one’s generation of [spirit] energy is strong, these cross-currents of energies from others has little or no effect on our nervous systems. But if we are weakened or depleted, some proportionate reaction is likely.”

In this latter connection, it was apparently an abrupt depletion of spirit energy that caused Jesus to react when a seriously ill woman approached from behind him and touched the hem of his robe, seeking His healing powers (Mt. 9:20-22). The Master’s powerful spirit energy field abruptly underwent a dramatic depletion, the cause of which he understood to have been the seriously drained spirit energy in the afflicted woman. His cure of her is perhaps best explained as the straightening and strengthening of the negatively disrupted vibrations of spirit energy composing her “magnetic” or spirit energy field when Jesus’ overwhelmingly powerful Spirit Energy flowed into her. It instantly converted the negative spirit energy she had acquired during her earth experiences to that time, turning it into GOD’s Spirit, which Christ receives from GOD without limitation (Jn. 3:34). The charge of His positive Spirit Energy removed the stains of sin she had brought upon herself by her negative activities. As Jesus once declared:

“It is the spirit that quickens; the flesh profits nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit and they are life.” (Jn. 6:63)

The sum of these things is that the vibrations characteristic of each individual soul responds or reacts against feelings sensed when we deal with one another during the normal course of our incarnate earth experiences. Sometimes when meeting a person for the first time we may feel the need to pause for a moment to reflect upon where or when we may have met before. This is one subtle evidence of reincarnation. In meeting someone we have no knowledge of ever having known before during a current earth experience, yet knowing we have experienced some contact, good or negative, somehow, somewhere, sometime, we can only ascribe it to having met in some previous earth experience. During such experiences our individual vibrations are currently either in harmony, or in disruptive disharmony, so that we are instinctively either in sync or out of sync with one another. This can be explained away as simply a dysfunctional memory or an abnormal mental aberration of some kind, according to the understanding of each individual. And many such occurrences can be attributed to negative angelic sources, which the Bible has recorded.

The Edgar Cayce readings assert that there are many negative entities in spirit-form around the earth which seek to influence souls incarnated in flesh to heed and follow them. The Bible refers to these as devils; and to the spirits of people we have known before as “familiar spirits” (Deut. 18:11; 1 Sam. 28:3,7,28,9; 2 Ki. 23:2; 1 Chron. 10:13;Isa. 8:19; Isa. 19:3 and other verses). These are not to be heeded because they cannot be relied upon to convey higher and more accurate truths because they can speak only from the level of spiritual knowledge and understanding they have to that time acquired. The Bible apprises us that we should obey only GOD and Christ HIS Son (Acts 5:29,32; Heb. 5:9).

Negative spirits are referred-to in Rev. 12:7-21, especially Verse 12. These have been cast out from heaven and exist as “thought forms,” apparently unable to incarnate any more, having given up their quickened spiritual state by deliberately following negative carnal ways until their supply of spirit energy has become so depleted as to hold them in the more dense earth plane. Those who strive to follow GOD’s and Christ’s Commandments set an ideal in their lives which can lead to Resurrection into GOD’s and Christ’s eternal heavenly dimensions. They understand not to defile their flesh bodies while incarnated on earth because it is the “temple” in which is housed the soul, which, as described above, is actually a highly sensitive “spirit energy field ” separate from the flesh body, but which must be allowed to govern it. Flesh consciousness must give way to spirit consciousness. As Jesus stated it: “Watch and pray that you enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” (Mt. 26:41)

When the spirit gives in to flesh carnality negative impulses are generated which upset the soul’s energy field, often with the result that negative spirit entities constantly attempt to penetrate it, lowering its resistance and bringing about a debilitative imbalance. This is further discussed in the next message.

Dr. Herbert Bruce Puryear, Ph.D., utilizing information in the Edgar Cayce readings, wrote a treatise tending to confirm that the spirit soul in man is actually an energy field which is vibrational in nature.* The following extract of Dr. Puryear’s work, citing Reading 281-24, reports that Mr. Cayce’s discourse on the subject of spiritual healing turned out to involve a discussion of atomic physics:

“From this discourse we see that the points of contact between the non-manifest spirit and the manifest materiality are at the same subatomic level. Man is indeed made in the image of GOD: a single atom has within its structure the whole form of the universe; in keeping with the principle: “As above, so below.”

“Apparently it is possible for there to be a loss of balance and equilibrium in the atom. When this principle is extended on a considerable scale within the physical body it is as catastrophic for that individual as it would be for the solar system. When the physical forces are not in a proper equilibrium in a physical flesh body, then disease may well result. This may come about as indicated in Reading 281-24, from some kind of “overbalancing” resulting from an injury or an accident or other event, in which atomic forces may be destroyed and others increased.

“The key, then, to physical health, is the proper balance of the rotary forces of every atom in the body. By the same token, a requirement for healing is the re-creation of the proper balance so that the atomic centers may have proper equilibrium in their rotary forces. This is accompanied in the body by resuscitation and revivification. We are told in the Reading that ‘it becomes necessary for the creating of that influence within each body to bring – or to re-establish – a balance necessary for its continued activity about each of the atomic centers of its own rotary or creative force.’

“Now, considering these things in terms of physics, of energy fields, instead of biology. Imagine a force field that has balance, equilibrium and coherence. In these terms an excellent analogy may be seen in the phenomenon of magnetism. If a magnet is held near a nail, for example, the nail will itself become magnetized. What changes have taken place to bring this about? None, chemically; only an alignment of the atomic and molecular forces within the hail.

“This analogy may be applied almost literally to an understanding of the way that one person who has ‘so attained or raised its own vibrations sufficiently – may, but the motion of the spoken word – awaken the activity of the emotions to such an extent as to revivify, resuscitate, or to change the rotary forces, in the activity of the structural portion of the body – the vital forces of the body – in such a way as to set it again in motion.’

“In such a process, what enables a healer to set an afflicted portion of the body again in motion? Reading 281-24 points out that it is ‘the motivative force of spiritual activity’ that is the cause. This means that the flow of energy from the non-manifest spirit part, into the manifest flesh part, intended for a right purpose, brings about healing. Spirit is here perceived as an energy form, and we need to keep in mind that the basic premise is the oneness of all force: that one force is spirit, whereas materiality, as we know it, is a projection of that force.

“Modern physics has acknowledged that matter per se does not exist at the subatomic level: all is energy in one form or another. And laboratory experiments have demonstrated that energy may be projected even to great distances, as in telepathy. In some experiments the thoughts of a healer have been shown to project over hundreds of miles to influence the activity of a cloud chamber in a physics lab.

“The Edgar Cayce readings indicate that in meditation, actual creation is taking place. We may interpret this as a movement from the level of pure energy in a physical manifestation. This is a key to understanding the process of healing.”

Dr. Puryear concludes that to remain well we must keep ourselves in compliance with the First Cause – which means applying ourselves to the love of GOD and remaining obedient to His law.

These insights, with respect to the vibrational aspects of healing the physical body by verbal and touching procedures, suggest that it is the mental-spiritual aspect of man that is able to influence the physical flesh body in ways similar to the way a nail is magnetized by a magnet. No trace of change in the physical structure of an ailing body is altered: only the energy-pattern within the atoms and cells that compose the body are affected by some kind of electromagnetic realignment.

The following blog item was reported in the Edgar Cayce organization’s magazine, VENTURE INWARD in 1986, submitted by an anonymous lady who experienced it, who asserts that she was shown that, although there is no such thing as time in higher dimensions, it is necessary on earth so that every soul will have ample “timed” opportunity to discover its mission and complete ot within an allotted time frame.

“I was in a very expansive place and I was expansive with it, yet singular – encompassing yet encompassed by all of it; and yet still strongly myself. Everyone who was there – thousands of entities like myself who belonged there – were also in the spirit. We were all one, yet each of us was separate. We were in a paradise of complete warmth, happiness, and comfort. I knew that I belonged there, and had always belonged there. I saw soft yellow, orange and white diffused light. I sensed space, lightness, and serenity. I felt tremendous love, lightness and yet total at once. An overpowering sense of security and peace pervaded this expansiveness. There was no sense of fear, worry, or the slightest anxiety.

I had an overwhelming sense of knowing that I had always belonged here, and then I knew that this was the real world that I had somehow forgotten about, and that I had been confused. I couldn’t imagine how I could have forgotten. It is hard to explain this, but I felt myself glancing back and yet looking at myself with a very pained expression, returning to earth each day or night for just the minutest bit of time. The earth felt extremely dense, heavy, primitive, and painful, and I felt like an infant on earth compared to what I was in this other realm where I had total power and knowledge, as I had always had. And now a tiny piece of me, only a very small part, was slipping back into earth.

“I saws myself going down a long tunnel, and I watched as I slipped into my body, feeling great aversion in having to do so, like drowning or suffocating. I watched in amazement, apart and yet together with my body, finding it all very painful emotionally. The earth felt completely foreign to me, not my real home, and I felt totally alien to it. I was dumbfounded that I didn’t remember all this. The most important thing I discovered was that I spend only a tiny fraction of time in a physical state. I had been so sure that I had existed in the physical, spending nights in the astral-spiritual realm. I had the whole picture reversed. I was shown that the physical is actually almost like what we consider the dream state.

“I also realized how time-oriented, primitive, encumbered, and tiny the earth is, compared to the place from which I was observing it. There was no time there – past, present, or future – it just ‘is.’ I cannot explain it in words. The place has always been there, and I always belonged there. I felt tremendous joy when I experienced this connection with GOD and my power. The feeling is not that of power as we know it, but one of joy – unbelievable, incomprehensible joy, beyond explaining in earth terms.

“Looking at the earth and the physical realm from there made it seem insignificant. I could not imagine why I had worried and was so concerned about what went on down on earth, when it hadn’t the slightest bit of importance at all. I knew that I didn’t even belong there and I felt rather detached from it all.

“Later I also realized how very difficult it would be to make contact with persons on earth because the vibrations are so low there, and once one leaves the earth it is hard to make contact again, even with the best of intentions. It takes a very special gift to take that on. From out there the earth seems like a speck of sand. I realized that the concept of time goes hand in hand with the physical dimension, one reason being that there has to be a time limit on our earth lives for the assignments we are trying to fulfill. It is hard to explain the insignificance of an earth life from this other perspective. While I also felt very strongly detached from the earth, I was still very strongly me while on earth. The most amazing thing, however, was that I had gotten the whole thing reversed, and that the dream is actually the greater reality.

“I realized also that only a very minute part of our essence can be incorporated into a physical body because the total spirit essence cannot be contained in a primitive body. The entire spirit would overwhelm it, and literally destroy it. Total spirit cannot be contained in anything but total spirit; it is too expansive, too powerful, to be fully contained in flesh. Also, we must forget conscious awareness of the “other place” during our physical state so as to be free to work in the physical world; otherwise we would not stay on earth. To experience one’s connection with GOD and the vastness between body and spirit is to know total joy. It is frustrating, nonetheless, to be unable to fully share it with others. Now words can quite describe what I experiences in this dream.”

Needless to say, this above item contains important spiritual principles explaining many of the mysteries of our incarnations in flesh in the earth plane. For one: the flesh body is able to contain only a certain volume or amount of spirit-energy: one soul at a time is all that can incarnate in it without causing self-destruction. This explains why the Son of GOD, after His fall as Adam, reincarnated as Enoch to obediently live all of that experience according to GOD’s Will. It was necessary for Him to perfect Himself through a number of earth experiences, it simply could not be accomplished in a single incarnation. As the Hebrews writer noted:

“But we see Jesus who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honor; that He by the grace of GOD should taste death for every man.” (Heb. 2:9)

Incarnated in flesh as the spiritually perfect Jesus Christ, he was able accomplish His remarkable blood sacrifice on behalf of all who believe in Him and follow Him (Jn. 14:1-4). As He declared:

“And whither I go ye know, and the way you know.” (Jn. 14:4)

He had made The Way passable out of the earth plane and into eternal heaven, and He had accomplished it one life at a time: as we are also granted opportunities to accomplish it.

Message Thirty-Three - Book One - SOMEWHERE BEYOND BELIEF

When Jesus taught Jewish high priest Nicodemus that any soul that ascends into heaven had before come down from there, even He, (Jn. 3:13), He by implication suggested that the term “spirit” actually refers to an extremely high vibrational energy form. This was later confirmed by Apostle John when he declared: “GOD IS a Spirit” (Jn. 4:24). the Son of GOD’s Spirit, had long before descended from higher dimensions than the earth to incarnate in the flesh body of Adam (Lk. 3:38), intending to “destroy the works of the devil.” (1 Jn. 3:8). The Bible thus intimates that Christ the Son of GOD is a Spirit, as is HIS Father-Creator, and conveys the idea that GOD’s Holy Spirit Energy is “above all, and through us all and in us all (Eph. 4:6). This in turn implies that GOD the Father’s Spirit is a Sacred Energy form and force, existent at the level of Light, permeating all of us and everything in GOD’s Creation, as well as all things Made by Christ the Son: as the illuminated Apostle Paul taught:

“But to us there is but one GOD, the Father, of Whom are all things, and we by HIM; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by Whom are all things, and we by Him.” (1 Cor. 8:6).

The Bible discloses that the Spirit Energy of the Son of GOD – a portion of which initially incarnated in the flesh body of Adam – became an intrinsic spirit-portion, or soul-portion, of that body. The Son of GOD was thus the higher self Spirit of Adam, which subsequently reincarnated in the body of Enoch son of Jared, to walk obediently with GOD throughout that earth experience (Gen. 5:22-24. This demonstrated that upon the flesh death of Adam, his soul – composed of the Spirit of the Son of GOD , did not expire – as evidenced in Mal. 3:6) – but simply reincarnated in a succession of earth experiences.

The Book of Hebrews confirms that by the time the Spirit of the Son of GOD, who was in heaven, incarnated in the flesh body of Jesus Christ – having before come down from heaven (Jn. 3:13) – He was “made a little less than the angels” in order that He might complete His earth mission of making The Way passable into heaven for souls incarnated and entrapped in the earth plane, that they could be saved from bondage in the earth plane (Heb. 2:7-9). The Hebrews writer confirmed that Christ had incarnated on the earth – that He had “partaken of flesh and blood” as had the children of GOD – that He through death might destroy him that had the power of death, the devil; and deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.” (Heb. 2:13-15).

Jacob was long ago shown the cyclical reincarnation of angels – the re-embodiment of angelic souls that are accounted worthy of resurrection in a new body that “cannot die any more” after death of their physical flesh body (Lk. 20:34). He saw them “ascending and descending” on the earth – going up from the earth but then returning here – which is suggests more than a single incarnation for each angelic soul caught up in the process of reincarnation. Some suggest that a soul is not an angel: but Jesus advised that all souls incarnated on the earth are “gods” of a sort. When Jews stoned Him because He had claimed He was the Son of GOD, they justified their actions on the ground that He had “made Himself GOD” (Jn. 10:33).

He replied that it was written in their law that GOD had said, “Ye are Gods,” so that if HE called them Gods – doing so through one to whom the Word of GOD came – and if the Scripture itself cannot be broken, then why was He to be considered ablasphemer because He had claimed to be the Son of GOD, whom GOD had sent into the world? (Jn. 10:34-38).

Jesus’ assertion that Jewish law contained the comment – that all men are Gods – is found in a Psalm of Asaph’s (who is understood to have been an earth incarnation of the Son of GOD:

“I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High. But you shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.” (Psalm 82:6-7)

This cyclical system involving the children of GOD is understood to be one in which angels created of GOD’S Holy Spirit were made by the Son of GOD, and live “life after life” experience in series of different flesh bodies in different periods of time. According to an Edgar Cayce reading, souls usually enter into flesh at about the same time an infant draws its first breaths. How this process functions – the spirit of angels created of GOD’s Spirit Energy and made by Christ HIS Son – incarnating and reincarnating in the earth plane, is well described in a cosmic consciousness dream experienced by a lady who has remained anonymous. It was reported in a column entitled, “An Interpreter’s Journal,” published in the Nov/Dec 1986 issue of the A.R.E. Magazine, “Venture Inward,” which will appear in the next of these messages.

Message Thirty-Two - Book One - SOMEWHERE BEYOND BELIEF

THE FOURTEEN COMMANDMENTS

The Old Testament establishes twelve sacred Commandments which, if human souls fulfill them during their incarnate earth experiences in the earth plane, were intended to keep them on a protected pathway leading to eternal life in heaven. GOD’s first Ten Commandments, channeled through HIS servant Moses to the children of Israel, are specified in Exodus 20:3-17. They consist of “Do Nots” most of them distinguished by the words “Shall not.” In that respect, they warn against certain particular negativity which invites into men’s consciousness the intervention of the Satan, the disobedient Archangel that GOD Himself empowered as covering Angel over the earth at a time before the negative one’s unholy ways had become manifest (Ezek. 28:14-18).

The Ten Commandments that GOD charged the Israelites to honor and keep were intended to provide a code of conduct able to hold the chosen people on a pathway able to lead them into heaven after their earthly incarnate days were finished. GOD had given them certain rules that satisfied HIM, and that. if they followed them, they would be on safe spiritual ground. We learn in the Book of Malachi that, in general, they had not been able to sufficiently obey HIS commandments (Mal. Chapters One through Three.).

Christ the Son of GOD thus brought in His New Covenant, which, as had been promised through the Prophets, was to follow a certain particular pattern (Jer. 31:31-33). It replaced the Old Covenant with a new one, with Jesus Christ at the helm: after GOD the Father had conveyed power over heaven and the earth to His Son (Mt. 28:18).

Overseeing events and occurrences on the earth were from that time no longer under GOD the Father’s direct power, HE having turned over all effective powers to HIS Son: with the exception of the determination of times and seasons, which HE kept in HIS own power (Acts 1:7).

When the Son of GOD was empowered, an end was brought to many of the religious tenets that had been observed during the Hebraic Age. One of the most prominent changes was Jesus’ declaration of His own two Commandments:

“Thou shalt love the Lord thy GOD with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thy self. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.” (Mt. 22:37-40).

These two Commandments, understood in a broad comprehensive sense, encompass and include, but do not derogeate, those given by GOD to Moses. The main difference is that the Commandments given to Moses highlight spiritually unacceptable behavior and ideals, whereas Christ’s two Commandments emphasize the crucially-important spiritual benefits that accrue from fitting His doctrine of Love, Truth and Righteousness into human belief and behavior.

The principle spiritual theme threading through the whole Bible establishes the proposition that doing evil amounts to disobedience to GOD’s Will. Failing to keep Christ’s Commandments – especially since the Son of GOD has been empowered over heaven and the earth – amounts to disobedience to the Son, and therefore to GOD who empowered Him.

The Commandments given by GOD to Moses for the guidance and direction of the chosen people of Israel were not grievous: they were no more than reasonably restrictive of man’s free will and they were purposefully aimed at opening a way into higher dimensions of existence for human souls. For example, a man who kills another in anger does not evince a spiritually acceptable emotion, and he has committed sin under either the Commandments given to Moses, or the two given by Christ the Son of GOD – which come out to about the same place. Those who wantonly commit such crimes against others place themselves in peril because man has been created above the level of a carnal animal and is not permitted to behave like a “natural man” (1 Cor. 2:9-14)..

The spiritual aspect of man vastly outweighs his physicality, albeit it is a difficult lesson for mankind to accept and abide-by. As he makes his way through his earth experiences, if he does not keep the Commandments that apply to him, he imperils his future after his earth incarnations are finished and the Book of Life is opened before him:

“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that everyone may receive the things done in his body, according to that he has done, whether it be good or bad.” (2 Cor. 5:10).

Message Thirty-One - Book One - SOMEWHERE BEYOND BELIEF

Biblical writings indicate by implication that when a human body is no longer able to support life, the soul incarnated within it is drawn to an intermediate “holding point” where it remains while decisions are made in higher heavenly dimensions regarding where it will next manifest. This is apparently a way-station on the pathway that leads toward the top of what is spiritually known as “the mountain if GOD.” This life-after–life process necessarily involves reincarnation, the soul manifesting in the body of a particular infant in the family of a particular lineage extending itself in chain-like fashion through time and space.

It is understood that each soul is caught up in its own continuing series of flesh manifestations in the earth plane, during each experience “meeting itself” as it strives to erase spiritual stains it has acquired in past lives while moving toward a state of spiritual perfection. Spiritual imperfections amount to stumbling blocks retarding each soul’s struggle to overcome carnal earth conditions by accenting positive ways and eliminating negative ways, ever striving toward a state of spiritual perfection. Until a soul is in absolved of the stains of sin it has acquired during its past experiences, carnal attractions insidiously victimize it and bind it to the earth plane.

Sin is disobedience to GOD, which separates a soul from HIM, amounting to Hell; for a soul without GOD’s Holy Spirit Energy is dead (James 2:26). Only when a soul obeys GOD and Christ HIS Son – as inscribed inActs 5:29; Heb. 5:29 – is it able to attain to one of the eternal heavenly dimensions – that is, to one of the “many mansions” of which the Son of GOD as Jesus spoke (Jn. 14:1-4). It is manifest that since the Son has been empowered by GOD over heaven and the earth (Mt. 28:18), all souls are required to obey Him.

Christ the Son has been engaged in establishing many heavenly mansions in heaven since He and His Angels overcame the devil and his negative angels and cast them down into the earth plane (Rev. 12:7-12), where they have been detained pending final Judgment (Jude 6). It was for that purpose that the Son of GOD entered the earth plane as Jesus Christ of Nazareth that he could “destroy the works of the devil” (1 Jn. 3:8), and rescue souls trapped in this carnal lower-level earth dimension.

Incarnated souls, whether consciously aware of it or not, are continuously involved in striving to attain to positions in GOD’s heavenly hierarchy. It is a process that implies an ongoing relationship between the soul – which repeatedly incarnates in a succession of temporal flesh bodies in the earth plane – and its angelic spirit self, better known as its higher self.

The ethereal relationship between souls and their higher spirit selves, for all its importance, is a subject not today generally found among Christian teachings. But for the inquisitive mind in search of information on this subject, it is abundantly and brilliantly expounded by Dr. Hugo Odeberg in the introduction to his excellent work, 3 Enoch.

Among its revelational disclosures it is written that in higher dimensions righteous souls are portrayed as undefiled and white in color; whereas intermediate, or spiritually contaminated souls, are pictured as grey; and the wholly corrupt wicked are perceived as black. The gradient levels of salvation are in that way defined by comparative shades of spirituality: as each soul moves ever closer to GOD’s Light Spirit Energy it takes on a whiter hue.

The work also describes the nature of angels somewhat in analogy with that of human beings, the underlying idea apparently being that angels and men are essentially the same, only active in different spheres of existence and charged to fulfil different duties. But as to the way this principle relates to man’s lower self and higher self, a section entitled, “Conceptions of Spirit and Soul”, drawn from various Jewish sources, discloses the following.

What Happens At The Time Of Death

“The spirit spoke with the soul and the stinking [flesh] body but the soul and the stinking flesh body gave it no answer. While it [the spirit] stood and spake with the soul and the stinking body, the liberator arrived, and stepped forth. I heard a voice, the voice of two voices, who were sitting together telling [things to] each other. The soul said to the spirit, ’by thy life, my sister, bring me with thee when thou leavest [this life]!’ [The spirit answered: ‘How can I bring thee with me, since thou art a deceitful soul?’ [This is evidently intended to signify that the spirit is conceived of as the higher force of the two, and further that the spirit is thought of as undefiled by earthly life, whereas it is the soul that is ‘deceitful’ and whose fate will be determined after death according to the character acquired by it in its previous existence: [whose ‘deeds will be weighed in a balance’]. [The author notes that this idea may be compared and contrasted with the book of Enoch, according to which ,on the one hand, the spirit exists from the beginning, holy and pure: and, on the other hand, there being a distinction between spirit and soul, the spirit can be defiled through earthly life.]

“There are also frequent passages pointing to the idea of the spirit’s possible corruption through its own doings during its life in ‘the world of illusion’ [the earth]. The Judge of souls after their death examines the Spirit on its sins and aberrations, asking: ‘What works have you done, O Spirit, in the world of illusion, where you have had your abode?’ The response: ‘You are my witness, O Judge, that I have done no evil deed upon my own account…’

“To illustrate the working of this idea of soul and spirit in different circles, or dimensions, it may be allowable to point to the Coptic Apocalypse of Paul, edited, translated and commented upon by E. A. W. Budge in his Miscellaneous Coptic Texts. In his summary in that book, Budge states that the portions of [the Apocalypse of Paul] that remain available to us prove that it was full of ancient Egyptian beliefs and views about the spirit, and soul, and the ‘angel’ of a man…The first section begins with the description of the fate of a sinful soul upon its departure from the body it has inhabited until the flesh expires. This soul was attended at earth by its angel, and admonished by its spirit, which reported daily to God the sins which it had committed. When its body died, its spirit reviled it for its wickedness, and its angel afflicted it, and then its spirit summoned it into the presence of the Judge of Truth, who is here Christ.

“Its spirit came forth from it, saying, ‘O thou wretched soul, thou didst not give me rest during my little time which I passed sojourning with thee. Or, O thou wretched soul, didst thou endure…or did my heart turn? The breath of the breath of life of GOD was in thee. Let us go into the presence of the Judge of Truth. I will never forgive thee; and I have made myself a stranger unto thee this day, and thou do likewise to me. Thus the spirit of the soul abuses it the soul, and its angel afflicts it. And they took away the soul to enable it to pay worship unto the God who created it in His own image and likeness….And the spirit of the soul said, ‘I am the spirit, the breath of life which sojourned with it; judge it according to its judgments.’”

“Also here, as in the Mandaitic passages, the soul is subject to sin, whereas the spirit is incorruptible, a divine spark living within the soul and separating from it when it is corrupt, to protect it. In other passages of the Apocalypse the soul alone [or the soul of its angel] is spoken- of without any reference to the spirit.”

These, of course, are portions of abstract writings inscribed in ancient times, the accuracy and validity of which are subject to interpretation and understanding through the Spirit of truth: the Holy Ghost and “other Comforter” sent by GOD the Father in the name of Jesus Christ (Jn. 14:15-17, 26; Jn. 15:26; Jn. 16:7, 12-15).

Message Thirty - Book One - SOMEWHERE BEYOND BELIEF

During an earth incarnation and experience, a soul embarks once again on its mission – in a new time and situation – on its journey from temporal life in the earth plane toward eternal life in heaven There GOD, man’s Creator, and the Son of GOD, its maker (1 Cor. 8:6), in some ethereal way observe each soul’s spiritual progress. The choices each soul makes during its earth experiences in flesh reflect the level to which it has to that point attained in its race for spiritual perfection (Heb. 12:1), the success of which determines the order in which it may eventually be permanently “made alive” (1 Cor. 15:22-23)

This principle is illustrated by many reported near death experiences, during which, for example, a human being for a period of time suddenly finds itself disabled, its conscious mind disconnected from its earth body and yet active in some other dimension of existence. During these phenomenal occurrences, the individual manifests no signs of life, the active functions of their flesh bodies at least temporarily suspended as they lie inert and lifeless on the earth. Despite the fact that the soul has ,in some unknown ethereal way, metamorphosed into what may be described as a lifeless but nevertheless aware condition, some invisible part of the being is able to perceive what is transpiring to the lifeless flesh body it has routinely inhabited until that time. It is evident that this invisible and apparently indestructible portion of the human being, the soul, remains separated from – and, for at least a brief period of time entirely independent of – its physical body. During a near death experience, this soul portion apparently enters into what has come to be known as “the inter-between” and is for a period of time held in that dimension of existence, separate and distinct from material earth, while decisions concerning it are made in higher dimensions than the earth. The writer to the Hebrews explains that such events are brief periods at the time of death of the flesh body, during which a contemporary judgment takes place in higher planes than the earth(Heb. 9:27) – ostensibly to determine where the next way-stop is to be in that soul’s pathway. As Jesus taught: “All things gained or loosed on the earth are gained or loosed in heaven” (Mt. 18:18_

Apostle Paul declared: “For now we see through a glass, darkly, but then face to face; now I know in part; but then shall I know even as I am known.” (1 Cor. 11:12). During near death experiences, death of the body is temporarily interposed into a soul’s contemporary life experience. In this respect, a number of near death experiencers have learned – among them a man named Howard Storm — that when they have indicated their belief and faith in Jesus Christ they were returned to consciousness, alive in their flesh body. What happens to those souls who fail to manifest such a sign, remains unknown, but it appears that they remain trapped in the cycles of reincarnation.

In Dr. Hugo Odeberg’s work, 3 Enoch, we learn of another unique metamorphosis – that of the merging of the soul with its higher spirit-self, which apparently takes place across the threshold of the seventh heavenly plane, where an angelic metamorphosis takes place by the power and guidance of GOD the Father – who is defined as the Most HOLY ONE – and HIS glorified Son, identified in 3 Enoch as Metatron, and synonymously in the Bible as Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Dr. Odeberg’s illuminating work discloses the identity of the Lord the Son of GOD, noting that as Jesus of Nazareth He was a soul embodiment of the same Spirit-entity that has manifested on the earth from the time of Adam: who in fact had actually incarnated AS Adam (Lk. 3:38; 2 Jn. 3:8)). The writer to the Hebrews noted that the Son has always loved righteousness and hated iniquity, for which reason GOD – even His GOD – anointed Him above His fellows (Heb. 1:9).

Souls incarnating in the normal course of their lives in flesh bodies on the earth, strive to be quickened and translated into eternal Light dimensions, there to help achieve spiritual increases for others by their works: including their prayers and helpful assistance. Because man progresses spiritually according to the character and quality of the works he accomplishes while on earth (2 Cor. 5:10; Rev. 2:23), it can be inferred that each soul that passes earth testing will eventually be assigned to some commensurate, appropriate position in GOD’s heavenly hierarchy: to serve in one of the various heavenly “mansions” (Jn. 14:2) in GOD’s heavenly hierarchy, commensurate with the level of spirituality to which it has attained during its incarnate earth experiences. It is understood that some souls continue to reincarnate even after having gained admittance into one of the lower heavenly levels, in order to assist others to find and follow the Way Christ the Son of GOD has made passable into the eternal dimensions of Light. Following such a beneficial sacrificial pathway is understood to lead a soul toward Sainthood.

Message Twenty-Nine - BOOK ONE -SOMEWHERE BEYOND BELIEF

One of the reasons offered to explain the process of reincarnation is that the cycles of earth experiences offer considerably more than one flesh lifetime opportunity for a soul to perfect itself by trial and error in the earth plane It is by repeatedly “meeting itself” in different times and places that a developing soul, by manifesting in flesh life after life, grinds away the karmic imperfections it has accumulated to that time. If the soul repents its sins and moves away from being a “natural man, instead living a spiritual life, it launches itself on its way toward eternal life. It is understood that a number of earth manifestations were required before the Son of GOD Himself was able to reach such a high level of spiritual perfection that His blood sacrifice was acceptable to GOD.

An Edgar Cayce reading touches on these principles:

“As soon as a man contemplates his free will, he thinks of it as a means of doing quite the opposite of what is GOD’s Will; though he finds with experience that only by doing GOD’s Will does he find happiness. Yet the notion sets ill with him, for he sees it as a sacrifice of his own will. It is only in disillusion and suffering, in time, space and patience, that he comes to the conclusion that his real will is the Will of GOD, and that in its practice lies happiness and heaven.” (Edgar Cayce Reading 2537)

Another Cayce reading touches on the need for each human soul to pass through a sufficient number of incarnate earth experiences to enable it to sufficiently grow spiritually so that in time and with patience it may weed out negative carnal impulses that are stumbling blocks that retard its spiritual development. Each soul has the potential of being metamorphosed by the Spirit of the Son of GOD from its earthly temporal flesh body into an eternal spirit-body that has all the characteristics of a flesh body, and in addition can manifest in the earth plane – as did Jesus Christ after His transition from his flesh body into a permanent Spirit body. After GOD had converted Him, His appearance was changed so that His Disciples no longer recognized Him, and He was able to manifest among them, and even to consume material foods with them, as the New Testament discloses.

In a second part of the above reading (262-14), the question was asked of the entranced Mr. Cayce: How can I strengthen my faith so as to become a fitting channel to help in GOD’s healing of my daughter?” His response was:

“Magnify the words of mouth, the acts of the body and hand, that which is given [to you] day by day. As the activities of the physical and mental consciousness, through confidence, brings that seeking of the mental and material to awaken the spiritual activities, so may the growth in faith bring the activating forces of the spirit that makes alive in the flesh.”

When a seeker asked Mr. Cayce how he might best attain his ideal, he was told:

“It is well that an individual know that in the obtaining of an ideal of an earthly making there is satisfaction, and if it is of the spiritual making there is obtained spiritual understanding, which gives contentment. Then be content with that which you have, and use it with honor, praise and glory to what you have. Then more and more will be given as proper use is made of what you already have in hand. For as was given by the Master of masters, ‘The kingdom is likened into a man making a journey who called his servants. To one he gave five talents, to another two talents, and to another one talent. As they applied what they had been given, when called to account they were rewarded according to what they then held. So, obtaining the ideal is making use – spiritual use first, – for, ‘seek first the kingdom and all these things are added unto you.”

(Reading 262-17, Par. 14-A)

The same query by another individual, brought this response from the entranced Edgar Cayce:

“In the applying of self day by day, that which you know makes a personal application of that which you know to do; without questioning the morrow; for the morrow has its own evils and its goods, sufficient unto itself. Today IS! Use that which you have in hand. In that way the opening comes. Even as Moses, a shepherd of the flocks in Moab, was called by GOD to lead a people: use what you have in hand, for the ground whereon you stand is holy! Do you likewise! Even as Ram, even as Pharez (Gen. 38:29) or Tamar (Gen. 38:6), each under their own vine and fig tree, learned first that opening self to be a channel for the living forces, not for the dead past – nor that that makes afraid, but thy Will O GOD, be done in me – use me as Thou see fit. Fit me for thine own!”

In another similar reading, the Cayce response was:

“Do with might what your hands find to do, through the channels that have been set before you; knowing that many minds have many ideas – and that all are not of thine own channel – yet give each the opportunity in their respective place.”

Many have considered Edgar Cayce – a believer in Jesus Christ as being the Son of GOD – to be a modern-day prophet, because he was able to set aside his conscious mind, and while in an unconscious state, to receive information that in many ways impressively followed writings in the Holy Scripture. During his deep-trance states he was able to access higher dimensions of consciousness – reflective of the abilities of the ancient Prophet Balaam, who “fell into trance – albeit with his eyes wide open, during which he “heard the words of GOD,” and was to see the vision of the vision of the Almighty,” and receive information that often precisely parallels modern-day biblical writings. As background, it had been biblically inscribed long before Edgar Cayce’s time::

“He hath said, which heard the words of GOD, and knew the knowledge of the Most High: ‘I shall see Him, but not now: I shall behold Him but not nigh. There shall come a star out of Joseph, and a scepter shall rise out of Israel, and shall smite the corners of Moab, and destroy all the children of Sheth…out of Jacob shall come he that shall have dominion, and shall destroy him that remains in the city. And he took up his parable, and said, Alas, who shall live when GOD does this?! (Num. 24:4, 16-19,23)

Long afterward, on one occasion when Edgar Cayce was in his deep trance state, he was asked the following crucially-important question:

“Is the faith of man in Buddha or Mohammed equal in effect to his belief in Jesus Christ?”

Mr. Cayce then received through the spirit the following answer to that query, and asserted aloud:

“As He gave, he that receives a prophet in the name of a prophet receives that prophet’s reward; or that ability that that individual spiritual force may manifest in the life of that individual. Hence, as each teacher, minister or seer, or prophet, receives that obeisance as is giving the life from that faith and hope as held by that as an individual, in the Christ is found that as the advocate with the Father and the Spirit of the Father glorified in him that approaches through that manner, without that as is approached in the spiritual activity of any individual; for the individuality is last lost, even as man in spirit overcomes death in the material world, bringing to man not only of flesh that endowed with the ability to be one with the Father, but magnifying the Father in the individual, yet in the material plane. Hence, as we find, each in their respective spheres are but stepping stones to that that may awaken in the individual the knowledge of the Son in their lives.” (Edgar Cayce Reading # 262-14)

As part of that same reading, Mr. Cayce was asked:

“How can I so strengthen my faith so as to become a fitting channel of help in GOD’s healing of my daughter?”

Mr. Cayce responded:

Magnify in the words of mouth, the acts of the body and hand, that as is given to you day by day. As the ideal is a growth, as the activities of the physical and mental consciousness through confidence brings that seeking of the mental and material body to awaken to the spiritual activities, so may the growth in faith bring the activating forces of the spirit that makes alive in the flesh.”

On another occasion Edgar Cayce’s source advised:

“Don’t just be good: be good for something!”

Message Twenty-Six - Book One - SOMEWHERE BEYOND BELIEF

The name “Holy Ghost” does not appear in the Old Testament, but only after Jesus Christ of Nazareth was raised up to GOD’s right hand and empowered over heaven and the earth. This is because there was supposed to be a virtually seamless transition from the last days of the Hebraic Age into Christ’s New Covenant. It is now understood that the great Archangel Gabriel had begun to function as GOD’s heavenly messenger in Daniel’s time, manifesting powers of fore-vision and able to inform that Prophet of many previously unknown spiritual secrets. For one thing, it was beloved Gabriel whose presence so affected Daniel that he became dumb and set his face to the ground (Dan. 10:15). This powerful Archangelic messenger of GOD visited the Prophet to “make him understand what would befall his people long while afterward, during the Latter Days” (Dan. 10:14). He called Daniel “a man greatly beloved,” and commanded him:

“Understand the words that I speak unto thee, and stand upright: for unto thee I am now sent:” (Dan. 10:11)

This authoritative command left the standing Prophet trembling (Dan. 10:11), illustrating Archangel Gabriel’s superior spiritual powers.

Leaving out a protracted discussion of Gabriel’s exceptional powers, which were commensurate with his high position in the heavenly hierarchy at that time, it is important to note his profound spiritual influence upon Daniel. And it is particularly noteworthy that Gabriel had been specifically sent to Daniel to deliver a message to him concerning what was to befall his people, Israel, in the Latter Days. This perhaps provides a key disclosing the possible identity of the Holy Ghost, the Spirit of GOD the Father in the earth dimension.

Gabriel’s activities and feats are enumerated in the Old Testament, which was effectually brought to its conclusion when Jesus Christ brought in His New Covenant. But that change did not end Gabriel’s earth visitations: he appeared on the right side of the altar of incense as priest Zacharias prayed (Lk. 1:11, 19). Then, as he had long before imparted important revelational information to Daniel, he foretold that Zecharias’s wife Elizabeth, despite her advanced age, was to bear a son, to be named John, who would “turn many of the children of Israel to the Lord their GOD (Lk. 1:15:16). By that time, the Lord, the GOD, had incarnated on earth as Jesus Christ of Nazareth: His appearance John the Baptist had announced: including that He was to baptize with the Holy Spirit – that of the Ghost (Mt. 3:11-12).

The Archangel Gabriel was then sent to the virgin Mary, declaring that the Lord was with her and that she was blessed among women (Lk. 1:26-28). He advised her that she should fear not because she had found favor with GOD, and was to bring forth a son whose name was to be called Jesus; who would be great, called the Son of the highest, who was to inherit the throne of His father, David , and reign over the house of David forever with no end of his kingdom (Lk. 1:30-33).

After this there is no more biblical mention of Beloved Archangel Gabriel! He seemingly disappears from all biblical writings after that time. But had he been foreclosed from all future contact with souls incarnated on the earth? This question remains unanswered in the Bible.

After Jesus Christ’s remarkable blood sacrifice on the Cross, His having been taken up to GOD’s right hand and empowerment by GOD over heaven and the earth (Mt. 28:18), an unusual occurrence began to be seen on the earth. It appears in detail in Jn. 14:15-17, 26; Jn. 15:26; and Jn. 16:7,12-15.

It was only after Christ’s Glorification that the Holy Ghost began to contact His followers, converting them and quickening them with GOD’s powerful Holy Spirit, so they were able to understand spiritual truths, and also guiding, protecting, moving and directing them along the Way Christ the Son had made passable into heaven.

Thus it was biblically inscribed: “And when they bring you unto the synagogues and unto magistrates and powers, take no thought how or what thing you answer or what you shall say, for the Holy Ghost shall teach you at the same hour what you shall say” (Lk. 12:11-12). At one point during His ministry, Jesus declared, “He that believes in me, as the scriptures have said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water” (Jn. 7:38). The next verse added: “‘But this spoke He of the Spirit which they that believe in Him should receive, for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because Jesus was not yet glorified.” (Jn. 7:39).

After Christ the Son of GOD had been glorified and empowered over heaven and the earth (Mt. 28:18), then the Holy Ghost, and”Other Comforter,” began to manifest and exert the kind of influence over Jesus’ followers as had Beloved Archangel Gabriel in times past. This may be attributable to John’s advisory: “Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself: but whatever he shall hear: and he will show you things to come” (Jn. 16:13). Thus it was suggested that the Holy Ghost’s identity would not be readily accessible because he would not speak of himself!

Credence is added to the above-suggested hypothesis when the possibility is considered that Christ the Son of GOD may have selected Beloved Archangel Gabriel as the Holy Ghost, and that GOD then empowered him. This becomes specially feasible when it is considered that Beloved Gabriel and Beloved Michael were the two Cherubim GOD long ago placed at the East of the Garden of Eden, with a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life (Gen. 3:24). As Jesus taught, “With GOD, nothing is impossible” (Mt. 19:26)

Message Twenty-Five - Book One - SOMEWHERE BEYOND BELIEF

Saul son of Tish’s phenomenal spiritual rebirth on the Damascus Road affected him in such a devastating way it literally struck him from his senses, as described in Acts. Chapters 9, 22, 26. It has is shocking upon many individual fortunate to undergo it and be quickened by the Spirit of the Holy Ghost . The Son of GOD experienced it Himself – as described in Lk. 4:1-13 – after He had been spiritually tempered by a considerable number of spirit-perfecting incarnate earth experiences, beginning with His fall as Adam. Following that, he incarnated in his obedient life as Enoch, as Joseph son of Jacob, Melchizedek, Joshua son of Nun, and high priest Joshua son of Josedech. During His experience as high priest Joshua He received GOD’s promise that if He would walk in GOD’s ways and keep HIS charge, He would be empowered keep GOD’s courts and have His place among others who were also highly placed in GOD’s heavenly hierarchy (Zech. 3:7). It was conditional: if He would do these things He was destined be GOD’s servant, HIS BRANCH (Zech. 3:8).

Incarnated in flesh as Jesus Christ of Nazareth, the Son of GOD was fully prepared to fend off the devil Satan’s testing temptations. That, however, was not the case with Saul son of Kish, who had also passed through a number of earth experiences, but none nearly so distinguished as that of the Son of GOD. In fact He was ill prepared for the shock that struck him down when the powerful Christ Spirit descended upon him on the Damascus Road and the Spirit of the Holy Ghost was infused into him. The immediate effect was as if he had been struck by a colossal electric shock rendering him dazed, immobile and virtually senseless. It was a while before he collected his senses and “got himself together”, and it several years before he went up to Jerusalem to meet with Jesus’ Apostles.

Paul’s experiences reflect the ups-and-downs of a soul undergoing spiritual rebirth; struggling to maintain stability as negative forces that have controlled it to that point in its contemporary earth experience struggle to hold it in the grip of flesh carnality. During spiritual rebirth, the “old carnal man” struggles to hold on to its earthy condition so that the “new spiritual man” cannot gain control and start the soul along a spiritual pathway appropriate to its heavenly potential.

In Paul’s case, he was abruptly converted by the Spirit-force of the Christ Spirit, while at the same time the Spirit Energy of the Holy Ghost entered into him, with the result that he was temporarily shocked out of his current state of consciousness. But he was able to hear Christ ask him why he was persecuting Him? Saul was unable to see, eat or drink for three days, but the men who were with him were able to escort him into Damascus, where a man of faith, Ananias, had been sent by the risen Christ to lay hands on him. But Ananias knew of Paul’s persecutions of the saints at Jerusalem and so at first declined. Then Christ told him to go his way and fulfill what He had charged him to do, because:

“He is a chosen vessel unto me: to bear my name before the Gentiles, kings, and the children of Israel. For I will show him how great things he must suffer for my name’s sake.” (Acts 9:15-16).

The above writings reveal a great deal about how the powerful Christ Spirit expresses itself in the earth plane; as well as disclosing important details of the workings of its redeeming spiritual power. It was only after Saul of Tarsus had undergone it that he “became a new man,” switching from his former allegiance to Jewish beliefs and practices, to become a “chosen vessel” of Christ’s to bear His name not only before the Gentiles and kings, but also before the children of Israel. This fulfilled GOD’s declaration given through HIS Prophet Malachi, that certain ones – who during past experiences had not obeyed HIM nor kept HIS ordinances – were to return – to reincarnate in flesh bodies on the earth – and to discern between the righteous and the wicked, and those who serve GOD and those who do not (Mal. 3:18). Apostle Paul was an example of this prophecy brought into reality.

Paul, who before had been a Jew named Saul of Tarsus persecuting Christians, had been stunned and completely turned around by the Christ Spirit and the Holy Ghost. He became “a chosen vessel” of Christ’s, charged to bear His name in the aftermath of Christ’s empowerment.

But the spirit of Paul’s “old carnal man” was not easily washed away so that the “new spiritualized man” in him could immediately take full control. The New Testament divulges that at times “the old man” was able to break through into his consciousness and influence his teachings. For one thing he taught the Corinthians:

“Let your women keep silence in the churches; for it is not permitted unto them to speak: but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law. And if they will learn anything, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in church. (1 Cor. 14:34-35).

This reflected back to the Hebraic belief which still subconsciously lingered as a part of Paul’s understanding. Yet on another occasion he declared to the Galatians:

“For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.” (Gal. 3:27-29).

The main idea expressed here, is that once a soul has undergone spiritual rebirth it is mandated to remain free of its past “natural man” state (1 Cor. 2:9-14), and accept and maintain its new spiritualized condition:

“It is impossible for those who were once enlightened and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, and have tasted the good word of GOD, and the powers of the world to come, if they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of GOD afresh, and put Him to an open shame.” (Heb. 6:4-6)

Each soul’s spiritual rebirth marks a necessary important step in its spiritual escalation as it progresses toward its ultimate goal, keeping itself in the love of GOD, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life (Jude 21). Paul illustrated these truths for all mankind.

Message 24 - Book One - SOMEWHERE BEYOND BELIEF

The boundaries of Middle East countries were arbitrarily fixed by the Western powers after Turkey was defeated in World War I, and the French and British mandates were set up. The areas allotted to Israel under the UN partition plan had all been under the control of the Ottomans, who had ruled Palestine from 1517 until 1917.

When Turkey was defeated in World War I, the French took over the area now known as Lebanon and Syria. The British assumed control of Palestine and Iraq. In 1926, the borders were redrawn and Lebanon was separated from Syria. Many other Arab nations became independent after Israel. A Declaration of Israel’s Independence was issued at Tel Aviv on May 14, 1948:

The Land of Israel] was the birthplace of the Jewish people. Here their spiritual, religious and political identity was shaped. Here they first attained to statehood, created cultural values of national and universal significance and gave to the world the eternal Book of Books.

After being forcibly exiled from their land, the people remained faithful to it throughout their Dispersion and never ceased to pray and hope for their return to it and for the restoration in it of their political freedom.

Impelled by this historic and traditional attachment, Jews strove in every successive generation to re-establish themselves in their ancient homeland. In recent decades they returned in masses. Pioneers, immigrants coming to Israel in defiance of restrictive legislation, they made deserts bloom, revived the Hebrew language, built villages and towns, and created a thriving community controlling its own economy and culture, loving peace but knowing how to defend itself, bringing the blessings of progress to all the country’s inhabitants, and aspiring towards independent nationhood.

In the year 1897, at the summons of the spiritual father of the Jewish State, Theodore Herzl, the First Zionist Congress convened and proclaimed the right of the Jewish people to national rebirth in its own country. This right was recognized on the 2nd November, 1917, and re-affirmed in the Mandate of the League of Nations which, in particular, gave international sanction to the historic connection between the Jewish people and Israel and to the right of the Jewish people to rebuild its National Home.

Survivors of the Nazi holocaust in Europe, as well as Jews from other parts of the world, continued to migrate to Israel, undaunted by difficulties, restrictions and dangers, never ceasing to assert their right to a life of dignity, freedom and honest toil in their national homeland.

On 29th November, 1947, the United Nations General Assembly passed a resolution calling for the establishment of a Jewish State in Israel and the General Assembly required the inhabitants of Israel to take such steps as necessary for the implementation of that resolution. This recognition by the United Nations of the right of the Jewish people to establish their State is irrevocable. It is considered to be the natural right of the Jewish people to be masters of their own fate; like all other nations, in their own sovereign State.”

Unquestionably the victory won by Israel in the 1948 conflict was a great one, widely construed by Jews as a sign that Israel has been reconstituted by heavenly powers to the status of their former beliefs: including reliance upon the Law of Moses and ancient religious belief patterns. But such a viewpoint reckons without the fact that since olden times radical spiritual changes have been made. One of the most important one is that the Son of GOD was raised up to GOD’s right hand and empowered over heaven and the earth (Mt. 28:18). This phenomenal development radically altered mankind’s spiritual situation. As the highly spiritualized Apostle Paul, after having been enlightened by Christ and the Holy Ghost on the Damascus Road, declared to the Romans: “There is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all who call upon Him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Rom. 10:12-13; Ref. Acts 4:12)

The Bible leaves no doubt that the chosen people of Israel are to be saved, along with those Gentiles who have faith and belief in Jesus Christ as the Son of GOD, who sacrificed His life on the Cross on behalf of all mankind. The Son of GOD’s Holy Spirit Energy was made “the Church” into which souls are all to be baptized into one body, and from whose Holy Spirit Energy all souls incarnated on earth are to drink – Jews and Gentiles alike (1 Cor. 12:13).

These principles were illustrated for all to see when Saul son of Kish, after his conversion on the Damascus Road, was renamed Paul. He was a Jew (Rom. 11:1; Phil. 3:5), so strongly driven to the Jewish religion that he spent much of his time searching out Christ’s Disciples and persecuting them. Yet despite his powerful dedication to his Jewish roots, he “saw Christ’s Light” on the Damascus Road, abruptly turned his life around, and became a devoted follower of Jesus, and a teacher of His New Covenant Gospel. Synonymously, the victory won by Israel in 1948 was remarkable, preserving as it did the chosen people’s opportunity for salvation by the Christ Spirit. It is this radical conversion that opens the door into heaven for those able to become sufficiently spiritually quickened by it, and to pass through it.

Christ, GOD’s Son embodied on earth as Jesus of Nazareth, declared:

“I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved (Jn. 10:9).

Message Twenty-Three - Book One - SOMEWHERE BEYOND BELIEF

“Forasmuch as you are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not in ink, but with the Spirit of the living GOD; not in tablets of stone, but in fleshy tablets of the heart. And such trust have we through Christ to GOD-ward: not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think anything of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of GOD; Who also has made us able ministers of the New Testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter kills, but the spirit gives life.” (2 Cor. 3:3-6)

Paul did not make this declaration from the viewpoint of a carnal unspiritualized soul incarnated in a flesh body on earth. It was written to the Corinthians at a time after his spirit-quickening experience on the Damascus Road: which had taken place at a time when he was a Jew named Saul son of Kish (Acts 13:21). The Spirit of the risen Christ had descended upon him and was infused into him. At that time he had been on his way to Damascus to detain any of Jesus’ Disciples he might encounter along the way and do them bodily harm (Acts 9:1-2), when suddenly a heavenly light shone about him, causing him to drop to the ground as he heard a voice addressing him, asking why he was persecuting Him, the Lord ,the risen Christ (Acts 9:3-5). Astonished and shaken, Saul asked what the Lord would have him do? to which the Lord answered, commanded him to go into the city and it would then and there be told to him what he should do (Acts 9:6).

This marked the beginning of Saul’s conversion from Jew to the last Apostle the Lord would choose among His followers: emphasis on the word “Apostle, for there where many Disciples, but only Twelve Apostles. After Saul had been converted to the Christ Spirit, he was renamed Paul. He related that he had been the last Apostle to see the risen Christ, explaining:

“And last of all He was seen by me as one born out of due time. For I am the least of the Apostles, not fit to be called an Apostle because I persecuted the church of God.” (1 Cor. 15:8-9).

After his enlightening experience on the Damascus Road, Paul was no longer a carnal soul – that of a “natural man.”. He was able to receive revelational information through the Spirit of the Holy Ghost, sent by Christ after His empowerment at GOD’s right hand (Mt. 28:18). He became one of the foremost exponents of Christ the Son of GOD’s New Covenant Gospel, updating the Romans, Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, Phillipians, Colossians, Thessalonians and others on the changes that had been made on the earth by the risen Christ’s empowerment; including that GOD had given all powers to HIS Son, except for the times and seasons, which GOD had retained in HIS own power. (Acts 1:7).

Apostle Paul’s writings indicate that during his spiritual rebirth experience on the Damascus Road the Christ Spirit and the Holy Ghost had entered into him, and were moving, guiding and directing him:

“But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which GOD has prepared for them that love HIM. But GOD has revealed them to us by HIS Spirit: for the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of GOD. For what man knows the things of man, save the spirit of man, which is in him? even so the things of GOD knows no man, but the Spirit of GOD. Now, we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is of GOD; that we might know the things that are freely given us of GOD. Which things we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teaches, but which the Holy Ghost teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man receives not the things of the Spirit of GOD, for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.” (1 Cor. 2:9-14).

These writings by Apostle Paul prove that he had undergone spiritual rebirth, because he would otherwise not have been able to so clearly explicate the effect of spiritualization by the Christ Spirit had he not personally experienced it. We learn from this that there is a veil separating knowledge of the higher spiritual truths from souls that have not become privy to them because of not having been sufficiently quickened by the Christ Spirit to receive the Holy Ghost, the Spirit of Truth. It is understood, then, that the first step toward understanding “the things of GOD,” as Paul termed them, is to take strong clear steps to move into the Spirit mode by seeking an increasingly closer relationship with Christ the Son of GOD. This is the point at which such rituals as praying the Lord’s Prayer, fulfilling the Holy Eucharist, appropriately keeping the Sabbath, reading the Holy Bible, and meditating, become stepping stones leading to the unique spiritualization process.

Until that is accomplished – until a soul determinedly illustrates its belief, trust and faith in Christ the Son of GOD, thereby moving ever closer to the Christ Spirit, as Paul did after his experience on the Damascus Road – it will remain in a relatively unspiritualized carnal state, unable to receive or understand “the things of GOD” which come through the Holy Ghost. It is a condition to be sought by deliberate and intentional spiritual beliefs and actions: a man receives the benefits able to be received by him – that of the the Spirit of the Prophet in whom he believes, and whom he follows (Mt. 10:41). Those who believe in Jesus Christ as their savior and redeemer, receive His Spirit: those who place their belief and trust in Mohammad, or Buddha, or another, receive what they can deliver.

Many biblical spiritual truths, some of them hard to understand and even harder to accept, come into clear focus after a soul has undergone spiritual rebirth. Christians understand that, for them, it is Christ who opens one’s understanding that they may understand the Scriptures (Lk. 24:48). What is received can depend largely upon past life experiences. It is understood that Apostle Paul had before incarnated as Saul son of Kish, the first king of Israel, during which experience he had failed to fully carry out GOD’s commands to him. And it is understood that he had lived other experiences on the earth which together contributed to the sum of what he received as Apostle Paul.

The sum of these things is that those who move ever closer to Christ the Son of GOD, doing good works as His Disciples, receive the Holy Ghost, and are able to receive and understand “the things of GOD”– to discern between the righteous and the wicked, and those who serve GOD and serve HIM do not serve Him – as had been prophesied inMal. 3:18). Apostle Paul knew that it didn’t matter any more whether one was a Jew or a Greek, for there was no difference: they were all to “drink of the Spirit of Christ” (1 Cor. 12-13). Faith and belief in Jesus Christ was the all-important key to salvation for them

Message Twenty-Two - Book One - SOMEWHERE BEYOND BELIEF

“Mahdi” is the one Muslims believe will appear at the world’s end and establish a reign of peace and righteousness. It is generally believed by those of the Muslim faith, that he will rule over all the world – assuming the role of Messiah.

This of course is in disagreement with Christian beliefs that the Son of GOD, incarnated as Jesus the Christ on the earth, has already been granted the role of Messiah, GOD having made belief in Him essential for the redemption of souls.

One as yet unresolved issue stemming from belief in the Muslim Mahdi is that he has been prophesied to appear in the end time: apparently in the same approximate time frame as the anti-Christ who has been biblically foretold to manifest. Another problem is that Christ the Son of GOD has long been foretold to reappear in a time of great tribulation to redeem all incarnated souls who are His (Lk. 2122-28), all of them – according to the spiritually-illuminated Apostle Paul – having been made a part of the Son of GOD’s Spirit body:

“For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. (1 Cor. 12:13; Gal. 3:23-29). Apostle Paul explained:

“For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. But every man in his own order; Christ the first-fruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at His coming. (1 Cor. 15:22-23)

Prophesies relating to the appearance of Muslim Mahdi and to Jesus Christ, being ostensibly opposed to one another, appears to automatically rule one of them out as being a true and correct prophecy. Muslim prophecies concede that, but claim that Jesus Christ will return at the same time as the Mahdi: that His heavenly place is only in the Second Heaven, and that GOD will return Him to that heavenly level, leaving the Mahdi to rule over all. This is of course contrary to Christians prophesies, which foretell that after Jesus Christ’s blood sacrifice on the Cross, GOD raised Him up to HIS right hand in heaven, where He was empowered over heaven and the earth (Mt. 28:18).

These are crucially important matters of faith and belief. Those who place their trust and belief in Jesus Christ as the Son of GOD as man’s Savior, secure themselves therein. On the other hand, those who choose to accept the Muslim proposition that their Mahdi is to enter the earth plane and take over absolute control over it, invest their reliance upon that belief, and it becomes their sole way to be translated into GOD’s Light; the eternal heavenly dimension biblically noted in Jn. 14:1-4. It should be added that those who accept Muslim belief automatically derogate the Christian counter proposition that the Son of GOD – by His incarnate blood Sacrifice on behalf of all mankind – has already paid the price for mankind’s sins, and rules not only in the second heaven, but in all spiritual levels, in accordance with GOD’s Will.

Also at issue with the appearance of the Mahdi is that he is slated a appear at the same time as the anti-Christ, who is projected by many to fulfill a function roughly the same as the Mahdi: to attempt to take over control of the whole earth. And he is foretold by Muslim prophesies to remove the power of the Christ, so that Muslims will take charge over all things. Christians and Muslims agree that this will lead to Armageddon, the most terrible time ever seen on earth or that ever will be. Resolution of this foreseeable problem is a matter of concern for each individual.

It it is accepted that Christ the Son of GOD has already been raised up into Heaven, seated at GOD’s right hand, and empowered over heaven and the earth, then it becomes evident that if and when the Mahdi appears in accordance with Muslim prophecies, and militates against that which the Bible declares has already been accomplished, it will be difficult for mankind to delineate between him and the anti-Christ, who, it has been prophesied, will also attempt to take control over the earth.

These are among the many questions to be resolved by the world’s population before these changes occur. Which side incarnated souls decide to believe in and follow is of immense importance.

Message Twenty-One - Book One - SOMEWHERE BEYOND BELIEF

Here below is a piece taken from an online source purporting to present an accurate and respectful portrayal of contemporary Iranian beliefs in respect to the Mahdi they await:

Ahmadinejad is a Shia Muslim. Many of his followers believe that the Twelfth Imam, or Mahdi – the last in a line of saints descended from Ali, the founder of their sect – vanished down a well near Jamkaran, Iran, in A.D. 941. According to their beliefs, he went into a state of “occultation,” like the sun being hidden behind the clouds; and that, after a stormy period of apocalyptic wars, the clouds will part, and the “sun” (the Mahdi) will be revealed. They believe that when he is released from his imprisonment, the entire world will submit to Islam. [There is no explanation as to why he was imprisoned or by whom.]

The world may smirk as they hear the president of Iran talking of the return of the Mahdi and think it is just a fervent example of religious unknowing-ness; but, he is dead serious. Not only does he believe it, but the tens of thousands of mullahs controlling ancient Persia believe it also. They are utterly convinced that It is their mission from God.

But just who is this “Mahdi,” this Hidden Imam? Some thought it was the Ayatollah Khomeini. In fact, when he returned to Iran in February 1979 following the overthrow of the Shah Mohammed Reza Pahlevi, the roads leading into Tehran were lined with nearly 2 million Shia Muslims screaming “al-Muntazar.” The grand ayatollah was quick to deny that he was “al-Muntazar,” one of the names given to the Hidden Imam. In other words, many thought Khomeini was the awakened Mahdi. Khomeini did, however, clearly explain to his followers that he was the forerunner — the one who had come to open the way for the Hidden Imam to make his reappearance. [This parallels the appearance of John the Baptist, who is understood to have before incarnated as Prophet Elijah.]

The Hidden Imam, upon his unveiling, will, according Iran’s constitution, assume leadership in the Islamic republic. All will acquiesce to his authority in what is essentially an end-time paradigm based on what some call the Muslim messiah. Ahmadinejad’s belief in this Hidden Imam is so compelling that he may well be persuaded to go to any lengths, including a nuclear attack on Israel and/or the United States, to precipitate an apocalyptic event, a means to an end.

Initially, Ahmadinejad’s threats seemed but the idle ranting of a megalomaniac. But now, armed with the capability to produce nuclear weapons, Iran will be a menace with which to be reckoned. The spirit of the Grand Ayatollah Khomeini lives on in Iran. This is the same Khomeini who said in 1981, “I say let Iran go up in smoke, provided Islam emerges triumphant in the rest of the world.”

The ummah, or Muslims worldwide, are comprised of Sunni and Shia Muslims. The two different sects evolved following the death of Muhammad. The Sunnis readily accepted his successor, while the Shia Muslims demanded their leader be a direct descendant of Muhammad. This personage is known to the Shia as “Ali.” Hence the designation, “The Party of Ali.”

Through the ages, additional subdivisions in the Shia sect have pitted one group against another, all led by recognized descendants of Muhammad. Their individual designations are derived from the number of the imam which they follow. Thus, Iran is comprised mainly of followers of the “Twelfth,” or the Hidden Imam. He succeeded Al-Hassan al-Askari who died in A.D. 874.

Shiite Muslims believe that the Twelfth Imam disappeared down a well near Jamkaran in A.D. 941, and will emerge from this location at his Second Coming. But first, they believe, the world will go through great calamities and upheavals. This “apocalypse” will set the conditions for the Mahdi’s return. [There is a strange, perhaps significant coincidence, seen here between the Son of GOD, who was taken up into a cloud that received Him after He had been prepared for three days after His Sacrifice on the Cross (Jn. 20:17), and the disappearance of the Twelfth Imam down into the earth in a well.]

The Hidden Imam is known by several [other names], which translate to “expected one,” the “hidden one” and, of course, Mahdi, the (promised one). His mystique is enhanced by the legend that the young successor in the lineage of Muhammad was secreted because he was unaccepted by the majority of Muslims. It is believed that he will be kept in seclusion until the day he emerges to reunite Muslims, conquer the world and establish an Islamic caliphate.

These, of course, are matters of faith and belief based on spiritual receptions by those who seek knowledge and understanding through the medium of the Spirit. The accuracy of such predictions and expectations, depend upon the relative accuracy of their source, and the validity of those who receive and announce them.

Christians understand that mankind’s objectives are no longer of an earthly character: they are directed toward man’s translation from his temporal earth “natural” state, into a spiritualized state. Aware that earth is a temporal testing- ground in which incarnated souls are required to obey GOD and Christ, and find and follow The Way the Son of GOD has made passable into heaven for them, they rely on their Faith: as written by Apostle Paul:

“But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the first-fruits of them that slept. For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. But every man in his own order: Christ the first-fruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at His coming.” (1 Cor. 15:20-23).

We all do well to pray for the best that can be for everyone, for GOD knows us all, and HE knows what is acceptable to HIM. As long ago noted: Anything is right because GOD says it is right, and that it the only reason why it is right! HE IS GOOD, AS WE ALL SHOULD BE!

Message Twenty - Book One - SOMEWHERE BEYOND BELIEF

The time draws near for the most drastic of all mankind’s spiritual confrontations. On the Christian side, the return of the Son of GOD, whose earth experiences began as Adam and ended as Jesus Christ of Nazareth, is sensed by many to be imminent. According to the Holy Bible, GOD drew Him up to HIS right hand in heaven and granted Him all power over heaven and the earth (Mt. 28:18), after His sacrifice on the Cross on behalf of all souls incarnated in flesh on the earth who follow the New Covenant He brought into the earth plane. His Gospel of truth, love and righteousness had been foreshadowed by Prophet Jeremiah in Jer. 31:31-34, which included GOD’s declaration that it would not be the same as the Covenant HE had made with HIS chosen people, Israel, in the day that HE had taken them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt. Rather, that HE would:

“Put the law in their inward parts and write it in their hearts, and will be their GOD and they shall be HIS people…HE will forgive their iniquity and will remember their sin no more.” (Jer. 31:33-34)

Despite the lack of belief and understanding of reincarnation by many people, it is a spiritual fact of life. Although it is as yet little known or accepted by Christians, the Son of GOD Himself lived a series of spiritually-perfecting earth experiences beginning with Adam, then Enoch and in a succession of other manifestations – in particular, Melchizedek, Joseph son of Jacob, Joshua son of Nun and high priest Joshua son of Josedech – before incarnating as Jesus Christ of Nazareth by way of an Immaculate Conception by Beloved Mary, in accordance with a prophecy by Isaiah (Isa. 7:14).

It is understood by Christians that the Son of GOD reigns over heaven and the earth. It is also understood that a negative spirit is to be born on the earth, known as the anti-Christ, who will present himself as man’s savior, and who will have great power and reign for a number of years, but will in the end be overcome: as foretold in John’s Revelation, Chapters Nineteen, Twenty, and Twenty-One.

Opposing this Christian-oriented sequence of events is a long-foreseen series of Muslim prophesies stemming from the works of Prophet Muhammad, which predicted the appearance on earth of a man who is to take power and save all who believe in the Muslim doctrines.

“al-Mahdi“ is said to be name of “the rightly-guided one” who – according to Islamic Hadiths [traditions], is to manifest on earth before the end of time to make the entire world Muslim. Over the last 1400 years numerous claimants to the mantle of the Mahdi have arisen, and belief in the coming of the Mahdi is increasing today: as evidenced by such overt examples as January 2007’s Mahdist violence in Iraq, and the frequently-expressed public pronouncements of Iran’s leader Ahmadinezhad: as well as more covert examples such as a tide of claims that Usamah bin Ladin might be the Mahdi.

In view of present-day opposing Christian and Muslim beliefs, it is plain that these two great and powerful religious beliefs appear to be set on diametrically-opposed courses. It is difficult to perceive of a way that – if and when the Muslim Mahdi, and Christ the Son of GOD, manifest on earth at the same time – there will not result one of the greatest calamities of all times. It is understood that Christ will not incarnate in flesh again, but will return in a cloud. (Lk. 21:25-28). In this respect, Muslim and Christian beliefs are at odds.

Christians are, of course, resolute in their understanding that the Son of GOD, who incarnated as Jesus Christ on the earth, is seated at GOD’s right hand in heaven, and that GOD the Father, who is above all, through us all and in us all (Eph. 4:6) has granted Him all power over heaven and earth, as noted supra. While the Son of GOD was incarnated on earth as Jesus Christ of Nazareth, He promised that if He went to prepare a place his Disciples, He would come again and receive them, that where He was, they may also be (Jn. 14:1-4). He was seen by many after His sacrifice on the Cross, and the writer to the Hebrews confirmed that He had “sat down on the right hand of GOD” (Heb. 1:3).

On the other hand, powerful Muslim spiritual forces built up through the centuries have taken what appears to be an intractable opposing view of the matter, believing that the Mahdi, their “rightly-guided one,” will appear in accordance with their belief, to convert all people in the world to their long-held ideology. This doctrine is today being reinforced by Ahmadinejad, empowered over Iran, who has called for the destruction of Israel and the United States, which leaves no doubt that he fully believes the Mahdi will appear in the near future.

According to 2006 WorldNetDaily.com – a n official state media website in Iran – has posted a message heralding the coming of the Shiite messianic figure, Imam Mahdi, noting that he could arrive with Jesus by the spring equinox. This is a prediction of huge imprtance, asserting:

“Imam Mahdi will appear all of a sudden on the world scene with a voice from the skies announcing his reappearance at the holy Ka’ba in Mecca.”

On the other hand, it is written in the Bible that the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the Archangel [Michael] and with the trump of GOD, and that the dead will then rise first (1 Thess. 4:16).

The Islamic Republic of Iran broadcasting website said in a recent program that the Mahdi will form an army to defeat the enemies of Islam in a series of apocalyptic battles, in which the Mahdi will overcome his “Archvillain” in Jerusalem.

The Mahdi’s fulfillment of prophecies is foretold to strike awe. It is said that after his uprising from Mecca, all of Arabia will be submit to him, and then other parts of the world are predicted to follow suit, as he marches upon Iraq and establishes his seat of global government in the city of Kufa. [Prophet Daniel apparently wrote of this, as reported in Daniel Chapter Eleven].

Those who believe that the current war between the Islamic and Christian-oriented people of the world is of little note and unimportant, are failing to see the peril right before their eyes: the danger is real!.

Message Nineteen - Book One - SOMEWHERE BEYOND BELIEF

The Son of GOD, incarnated as Jesus Christ of Nazareth, was clearly from a Jewish background, but He did not espouse nor teach the Jewish religion. When a lawyer tempted Him by asking: “Which is the great commandment of the law?” (Mt. 22:35), Jesus’ answer did not overlook or deny the Ten Commandments GOD had give through HIS Prophet Moses. Instead, He codified them into a form that incorporated them in His New Covenant Gospel, the coming of which had been prophesied by Jeremiah (Jer. 31:31-36. He declared):

“Thou shalt love the Lord with all thy heart and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.” (Mt. 22:37-40)

This set in stone the thrust of Christ’s New Covenant Gospel of love, which no longer requires fulfilling the Law of Moses – although it includes some of its tenants – but is based on faith in Jesus Christ and following the Way He has made passable into the eternal Light of GOD. A man who obeys GOD and HIS Son, will have the Holy Spirit inculcated into him.

Jews had long been GOD’s chosen people, as the Old Testament repeatedly emphasizes, so when the Son of GOD was raised up to His Father’s right hand and empowered over the heavens and the earth (Mt. 28:18), the question arose: how did it affect people of divers religious beliefs and creeds the world over; in particular the Jews? In Prophet Malachi’s time GOD had reprimanded the Levitical priests for having and been partial in the Law of Moses and for departing out of the path, causing many to stumble and, at least for the moment, fall away. Christ Himself was made the eternal heavenly priest, after the order of Melchizedek, whom He had been:

“Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest on the right hand of the Majesty in the heavens; a minister of the sanctuary and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched and not man. But now has [Christ the Son] obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises. For if the first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second.” (Heb. 8:1-2,6-7).

For those who would receive it, this marked the end of earthly priests for all who would receive it. In fact, the Levitical Priesthood was effectually terminated but another set in its place by Jews. Some Gentiles, not having accepted the basis for these changes, proceeded to establish the Catholic earth priesthood – ostensibly governed by a Pope, who was chosen as a successor to Apostle Peter — and other religious congregations eventually established other beliefs and faiths conducted by mortal men; rather than to accept the perfect eternal heavenly Priesthood of Christ the Son of GOD:

“If therefore perfection were by the Levitical Priesthood, [for under it the people received the Law,] what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchizedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron? For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also in the law.” (Heb. 7:11-12).

Jews were not left out of the changes Christ the Son brought into the earth dimension. They were entitled to conduct themselves as they pleased, with one major exception: their belief and faith was required to be in Him whom GOD the Father had empowered over heaven and the earth. The Son had incarnated and reincarnated as a Jew, but Jews for the most part rejected Him when He incarnated as Jesus of Nazareth. Many simply did not understand that His Spirit was that of the Son of GOD, written of in Psalm Two of their Holy Scriptures; or that He had incarnated as Adam,, Enoch, Joseph son of Jacob, Joshua son of Nun and Joshua son of Josedech, among His other exalted earth manifestations. He was one of them; closer to them than they had realized. But still now, nearly two thousand years after He manifested as Jesus Christ of Nazareth, many remain unaware that the time is near for Him return, as long ago foretold:

“And there shall be signs in the sun and in the moon; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and with great glory. And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draws nigh.” (Lk. 21:25-28).

This applies to everyone on the earth, including Jews who have accepted Jesus Christ’s blood sacrifice for their redemption. In the beginning they were GOD’s chosen people, and they have intentionally not been left behind:

“I say then, Has GOD cast away his people? GOD forbid. For [Apostle Paul noted] I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. GOD has not cast away HIS people which HE foreknew…Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace. And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work. What then? Israel has not obtained what he seeks-for; but the election has obtained it, and the rest were blinded.” (Rom. 11:1-2,5-7).

Jews were not excluded from salvation by Jesus Christ the Son of GOD’s New Covenant: rather, they received an entitlement to it. Their seeking of salvation and an eternal place in GOD’s Light was preserved by Him: they will be saved if they accept His blood sacrifice for redemption of their sins and call upon His name (Acts 2:21, 4:12). Paul also noted this to the Ephesians:

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and not of yourselvcs: it is the gift of GOD.”(Eph. 2:8)

Jesus Christ of Nazareth was of Jewish extraction, and He did not put away His spiritual kinfolk, when He was empowered at GOD’s right hand in the highest of all dimensions. Rather, He consecrated all who honor and accept His blood sacrifice on the Cross; who believe in Him as GOD’s Dear Son who gave up His earth life for their salvation.

Message Eighteen - Book One - SOMEWHERE BEYOND BELIEF

The Son of GOD’s ethereal transition from His first incarnation as Adam through His succession of flesh manifestations in the earth plane that led to His anointment at GOD His Father’s right hand, and his empowerment over the heavens and the earth (Mt. 28:18), was GOD’s test of HIS Son. HE had long before anointed Archangel Satan as covering angel over the earth at a time when the devil “was perfect in his ways” before iniquity was found in him, (Ezek. 28:14-15). Satan had enjoyed free will, but he had misused it to rebel against GOD, apparently with the idea of establishing his own kingdom on the earth. Seeing that situation, GOD sent HIS son into the earth plane, accompanied by Eve – who was the Son’s binary soul mate – along with others loyal to GOD, for the purpose of destroying the devil’s works (1 Jn. 3:8).

Having disobeyed a command GOD had given Him, Adam fell from GOD’s grace and was “grounded” in the earth plane, unable to return to the heavenly dimension from which He had descended. Seven generations later He reincarnated as Enoch son of Jared, and obediently walked all of that life with GOD. He then returned as Joseph son of Jacob, then Melchizedek, eternal Priest of the Most High GOD, without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of GOD, a priest continually (Heb. 7:3). Among a number of His other reincarnations, the Son manifested as Joshua son of Nun, and then as Joshua son of Josedech, before his remarkable manifestation as Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

His earth experiences from the time He entered as Adam until He incarnated as Jesus Christ were stepping stones that marked his pathway toward His ultimate anointment by GOD His Father at HIS right hand in the highest of heavenly dimensions: at which time GOD empowered Him over all the heavens and the earth (Mt. 28:18).

This had actually been foretold when the Son – incarnated as Joshua Son of Josedech, high priest – had received GOD’s promise that if He would “walk in GOD’s ways and keep HIS charge, He would judge HIS house and keep HIS courts (Zech. 3:7). A primary question then became: what would the Son do with His unique empowerment? GOD the Father had directed and overseen all that had taken place on the earth before HE granted HIS Son virtually full power, reserving only HIS own specific power over “the times or the seasons” (Acts 1:7). From the human perspective, the earthly father and son relationship was reflected by the inheritance of power by the Son of GOD from His Father, “even His GOD” (Heb. 1:9). His Father having granted Him power, He was free to do with it as He saw fit.

Hundreds of religious views and religious denominations sprang up all over the earth with millions of people striving for recognition. In principle; among thousands of different religions, only one could possibly be completely true and accurate, so a great religious controversy arose around the world. The chosen people of Israel – despite having been afflicted on all sides and having survived major exiles which had scattered them – had struggled through the ages to preserve their nation and their religion. Other religious believers of all kinds, having been lumped under the heading “Gentiles,” worked out their vested belief patterns to their own satisfaction; but many died in terrible wars. It would be written in the Book of Ecclesiastes: “Lo, this only have I found, that GOD has made man upright; but they have sought out many inventions” (Eccles. 7:29).

What Christ the Son would do after He was granted full control over heaven and the earth was not immediately clarified nor determined, and was not intended to be until He would at some undetermined future time return in the Cloud to take hands-on dominion over the earth (Lk. 21:27). But through the ages GOD had made promises through HIS prophets foretelling certain predestined changes that were to come to pass.

Through HIS Prophet Malachi, HE had declared that if HIS chosen people would return to HIM, HE would return to them, even though they had not obeyed HIM in the past. Those whom HE addressed at that time, who feared HIM and who paid heed to HIM, were to be HIS in the day when HE “made up HIS Jewels.” He promised that these would return – reincarnate – to discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that served GOD and that served HIM not.” (Mal. 3:16-18).

One of the major changes made by the Son of GOD after He took power at GOD’s right hand was that He joined together all believers in divers religions who would accept it. As Apostle Paul afterward declared:

“There is no difference between the Jew and the Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon Him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Rom. 10:12-13; 1 Cor. 12:13; Eph. 2:1-5,18-22).

The effect of this was that no matter what a man’s religious belief or affiliation had been in times past, after Christ the Son took power all mankind came under His rule. He had indeed been king of the Jews, and GOD had made Him king over the heavens and the earth. This radical change became a stumbling block for Jews, as well as for the adherents of many of earth’s powerful organized religions, they having consecrated themselves into an island of their own beliefs, unaware that their freedom to do so is a gift from GOD, who has never compromised or abrogated the right to convey HIS power over heaven and the earth to HIS dear Son. Many, however, have been reluctant to depart from long-established beliefs and abandom them to follow the Way Christ the Son has made passable into eternal life in GOD’s Light. It still remains difficult, even impossible, for some soul’s incarnated on earth today to understand and accept that the Son of GOD has received power from GOD: including the Deliverance of human souls from their entrapment in the earth dimension, into heaven. This is a hurdle in the path of those who believe they can take their cause directly to GOD without the intercession of Christ: “Who is able to save them to the uttermost that come unto GOD by Him, seeing He ever lives to make intercession for them” (Heb. 7:25; Heb. 9:15,24; 1 Tim. 2:1-6)

But there is hope: for as it is written: To whom He was not spoken of, they shall see, and they that have not heard shall understand” (Rom. 15:21)
